Since the control arm is so much cheaper than other I'm interested, but wary of it at the same time. Dave

I remember seeing those when the whole phenomenon started (way back when). I've always used my garden sprayer as a compressed air source and done the bleed, stop, depressurize, fill, repressurize, bleed technique... KC Boyce '97 M3/4 -----Original Message----- From: Mel Silva [mailto:melsilva@mindspring.com] Sent: Wednesday, April 20, 2005 4:56 PM <snip> Some of the earlier pressure bleeding systems based on bug sprayers had a single inlet system that was used for both the fluid pickup and the pressure inlet. Therefore when you pressurized the system, the dip tube (inlet tube) would "blow bubbles" through the fluid in the reservoir.

A special socket might be needed if the sensors are hard enough to remove to the point where an open-end wrench risks rounding their hex. An O2 sensor socket can be found at any auto parts store for small money. You'll also probably want to remove the X-brace for better access from under the car. Also, spray the heck out of the sensors with PB Blaster or similar penetrant and they should come out easily. Could save you some pain. I did not have to remove the X-brace though removal would make it easier. Bob Gill 97 ///M3 coupe Philly Region SCCA 2nd Place BSP - PA State Championship 2004

Ted, I would suggest looking for the muffler hangers at bimmerparts.com. I found them way cheaper there (IIRC $18 ea.). Thanks again, Neil. Jeremy // ...i should replace the muffler hangers...

#5. Did the CDV and headliner this weekend - from Shelhart2@aol.com

Date: Wed, 20 Apr 2005 20:22:55 EDT From: Shelhart2@aol.com Subject: Did the CDV and headliner this weekend The clutch delay valve was very easy. Just remove it, hook it back up and bleed it. The bleed screw is a 7mm. Make sure to use the proper 6 point wrenches so you don't round the fittings. I have a pressure bleeder and also had someone in the car pumping the clutch. The results were great. There is a noticeable improvement and well worth doing. The headliner requires two people. Another lister said he did it himself and I guess he's a better man than I. It came out easily and slid out the passenger door with the seat all the way reclined. I recovered it and put it back in in an hour. Looks better than new... The dealer wanted almost $600... I did it for less than $75. Shel 1998 M3 02 996
