Yep. Which is why the standard steel E34M5 flywheel will not bolt up directly
to a E36M3...Don't ask me how I know. I do, however, have that 13 pound
flywheel in my car....made possible my a custom ring gear. I have a stack of
like 20 of them.

I had 20+ autox and 4-6 track days. Moderate fade at the track but very progressive. On my way back from a track day I heard a weird noise coming from the front passenger side. It turns out that 1/3 of the brake pad material was missing and the rest was in 2-3 chunks detached from the backing plate!!! I got some scary pics. So HPS good ONLY for street. I have the HP Plus for the Glen in 2 weeks and I heard good things but oh boy do they SQUEAL!!! Had the same symptom with Hawk Blue pads. I changed pads and rotors for the track, but when it got time to leave on sunday I was too lazy to put the street pads and rotors back on. Big mistake. Changed them on Monday night after work. I cut a small piece of plastic milk jug (~2"x2") and slip it under the edge of the emblem before using a small jewelers screwdriver to pry the emblem out of the grommets. Sometimes if it offers excessive resistance I will use a larger screwdriver after the small driver creates a gap. I have done this for years on many BMW's and never had an issue with scratches. Good luck, Matt Original Message: -------------------- 1 -------------------- Date: Fri, 29 Apr 2005 11:22:17 -0700 (PDT) From: L R <lhrc51@yahoo.com> Subject: Hood emblem I know that it's a stupid question but how do you replace the hood emblem on a '95 M3 (do you just carefully pull it?). I pulled part of the hood insulation & there's a circular hole under it but there's another layer of metal so you can't access the bottom of the emblem. Thank you guys, Luis __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo! Mail has the best spam protection around http://mail.yahoo.com

Took me no more than 10 mins to pry off the old emblem and seat in the new one. Very straight forward. The credit card is key. Drive Safely, Raza
