I'm looking for a limited slip diff for a track car that I'm putting together and I think I have found that convertibles had different gear ratios i.e. a 3.73 that I'm interested in. Date: Mon, 2 May 2005 20:28:22 -0700 From: Brian Ruiz <eurowerke@gmail.com> Subject: new alarm remote program procedure Anyone know the procedure for programming a new alarm remote (with a chip)? This is a three button remote that I want to use as my regular remote, since the case of the one I received with the car is broken and doesn't have both screws to hold it together. The dealer mentioned the procedure quickly to me, but I didn't quite catch it all. And is the alarm main module under the glovebox or in the trunk? TIA, Brian build 8/95

#6. Vader seats ... common problem?? - from Scott Spangenberg

Date: Tue, 3 May 2005 07:45:31 -0700 (PDT) From: Scott Spangenberg <cpmustang2001@yahoo.com> Subject: Vader seats ... common problem?? Since I bought my '95 M3 a couple of months ago, both seat-back release mechanisms have failed. That seems a little too coincidental. Is this a common problem area? I have a pair of used Recaro SRD seats waiting to go in the car, but I plan to sell the Vaders and I will want them to be working :-) Right now, I can't get to the back seat at all :-( Oh well, I always wanted a 2-seat coupe! I am suspicious that maybe my kids are to blame. They sometimes don't get the "lift lever, THEN push seat" procedure. If they try to push the seat first and then exert too much force on the lever, I suppose it may break the linkage inside the seat. On that note, does anybody have advice on getting the seats apart to fix them? -Scott Spangenberg -95 Avus M3, Track and Summer car -98 Neon ACR, Autox and Winter car -88 Mustang, CP Autox car (2006, maybe!) -05 F150, Girlfriend's & parts go-getter __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? #9. which brake light switch ... and how many cabin microfilters? - from Theodore Serbinski

Date: Tue, 3 May 2005 13:34:26 -0400 From: Theodore Serbinski <stanson@gmail.com> Subject: which brake light switch ... and how many cabin microfilters? Hey guys, about to order some parts but have a few questions. For my 1997 M3/4 18button OBC, which brake light switch do I need? I read something about a 2 and 4 wire switch and that the 4 wire *might* be the correct one, but no confirmation on that. Also, if anyone has a part # that would be great ... I searched all through realoem.com but no luck on that one. And for my other question, I thought there only was 1 micro cabin air filter in the car but after looking at BMP, it says 11/96+ require 2??? <http://www.bmpdesign.com/product-exec/product_id/1981/category_id/132/search_year/1997/search_model/38> Where's the other one, I though only 1 was under the dash??? Thanks! ted

If there is more than one, then I have 1 really nasty microfilter in the car! I've only ever known of one, the one kinda behind the glovebox.
