My peake tool says code 18, Passenger Occupancy Sensor. I can reset the light and it stays off a for a few days, but comes back on. Is this easy/cheap to fix? I have a Momo steering wheel but wired up a resistor to trick the computer into thinking I still have a driver side air bag. Ideas? Dave DeBuhr 98 M3/4

If you ever decided to sell off the brace or return to stock, its a nice piece to have lying around just in case. Drive Safely, Raza <--- speaking softly and carrying a big, support brace

Friend who tracks S52 M Coupe at VIR, Road Atlanta 15+ times/year has cracked head by spark plug. Very well known BMW race shop has told her that crack due to running stock plugs and that a colder plug would have prevented overheating of the plug that they believe caused the crack. Doesn't make sense to me. Comment? Neil Simon 99 M Coupe

I thought there was an explanation on the website but anyway I've noticed shifting effort is reduced with a weighted shift knob. >Also do Rob Knobs mount with a set screw like Momo? Yeah except it uses one set screw and it works _much_ better than the 3 that Momos use. For some reason the Momo knobs loosen up so you end up using Loctite on them. Obviously I'd recommend the Rob Knob. -Carlos.

#8. New Bilsteins - one last time - from david kroth

Date: Mon, 16 May 2005 06:41:58 -0700 (PDT) From: david kroth <david_kroth@yahoo.com> Subject: New Bilsteins - one last time Recall that I put Bilsteins on my '98 sedan last week. I kept the stock springs (four green dots rear, four yellow dots front). A couple people contacted me off-list asking for an update on ride height. I've got about 140 miles on the new Blisteins. So here's the final blurb: Before: LF: 26.25" RF: 26.0" LR: 24.75" RR: 24.625" After: LF: 26.25" RF: 26.0" LR: 24.875" RR: 24.75" The rears went up 1/8". The front did not change at all. I attribute this to the fact that while my factory shocks were tired, they were not completely blown and did have some life left in them. In my opinion, the new Bilsteins have taken the car back to factory fresh and not much further. YMMV. David Kroth david_kroth@yahoo.com Discover Yahoo! The buyer might not attach any value to the x-brace, in which you can swap it back out and sell it to someone else. >>Worse yet, reinstalling it is rumored to interfere with safe crumpling in >>case of front end collision. >> >> > >Thanks all! > >ted > > > >
