It had a BMW part number on it and everything, but I really don't think it was up to the quality of the original. Less than six months later, it looks like it's peeling up at the edges already (the first lasted a decade by comparison). Oh, and it was a super bitch to swap out. I had a hell of a time getting the old one off and I don't think I ever got the new one on as tight as the original. Not too much of a pain to replace, just pull the old one up (be careful to not scratch the paint), snap the new one in it's place. Wow, and at those prices, they are an excellent alternative to falken 615. I ran the toyo t1-s in a street tire class before years ago and it did very well especially in the rain. They didn't last long, and some said the sidewall wasn't as firm as they would like. The TR1 may be better, toyo's always been the lightest choice it seems. I still haven't found a toyo as good as the old old TS back in that was phased out 96-97. Toyo all-seasons I found were absolutely dangerous, although I see the replaced the FZ4, so maybe that's a good thing! -----Original Message----- From: Christopher Bauer [mailto:chrisbauer@vzavenue.net] Sent: Friday, July 15, 2005 2:11 PM To: E36M3 Subject: RE: [E36M3] Toyo Talk TR1 Date: Fri, 15 Jul 2005 11:26:08 -0500 From: Christopher Bauer <chrisbauer@vzavenue.net> Subject: RE: [E36M3] Toyo Talk TR1 http://www.onlinetires.com/Tires/ToyoTires.htm Proxes T1-R are these the same thing? I drove a Porsche with T1-R's at Mid-Ohio last May and found the tires to offer outstanding grip. The most notable improvement over the T1-S is the lack of outside shoulder wear. My daughter 325iX is shod with T1-R's (205/55/15) but the lack of rain this summer is preventing me from testing the tires in wet conditions. Gerry Are they even really available? I was talking to a 318 owner yesterday who was looking for some and he was told they would not be available for a month or so. Graeme Haven't heard any chatter on list about these yet. Why is that? Stock front kick panel and rear deck speakers, along with stock amp, used but work fine. Front brake caliper, good condition, doesn't have ///M logo on it. Can't remember which side it's from. Front swaybar endlink, good condition. A full set of BMW stock lug bolts. Front strut covers, little black plastic deals. All this stuff is up for grabs for the hefty admission price of a twelve pack of good beer. Local pickup encouraged and prefered, but I will ship at your expense. -josh
