#3. GGC School at Thunderhill, Aug 20-21 - from Mark Dadgar
Top
Date: Mon, 25 Jul 2005 16:07:02 -0700 From: Mark Dadgar <mark@pdc-racing.net> Subject: GGC School at Thunderhill, Aug 20-21 Guys, We still have space left for this school on the weekend of August 20/21, so if you're on the fence, come out and join us! Thunderhill now sports a large metal canopy in the middle of the paddock (big enough to park trailers under) as well as an air-conditioned building, so it's not the miserable heat-fest it used to be. Note that BMW ownership is NOT REQUIRED for this event, so if you've got friends who've been seduced by The Way of The WRX (or equivalent), don't hesitate to let them know. We are accepting Elises, too. :) I'll be instructing in my E36 325is JP car (and happy to give rides) and you can expect some other BMW Club Racers to be there as well (Jim B, Peter V, Peter G, etc), so come on out and run with us! Event info and online registration at: http://www.ggcbmwcca.org Thanks. - Mark Driving Events Coordinator, GGC BMW CCA ----- mark@pdc-racing.net Check out my JustRacing Home Page at: http://www.justracing.com/homepage/mdadgar Begin forwarded message: From: Mark Dadgar <mark@pdc-racing.net> Date: June 5, 2005 1:52:28 PM PDT To: E36M3 <e36m3@bmw-m.net> Subject: [E36M3] GGC School at Thunderhill, Aug 21-22 Reply-To: Mark Dadgar <mark@pdc-racing.net> Date: Sun, 5 Jun 2005 13:45:28 -0700 From: Mark Dadgar <mark@pdc-racing.net> Subject: GGC School at Thunderhill, Aug 20-21 Golden Gate Chapter has just opened registration for our annual driving school at Thunderhill Raceway in beautiful Willows, CA. The cost is $399 for club members and $439 for non-members (includes a 1- year BMW CCA membership) and it will take place the weekend of August 20-21. If you have no previous high performance driving experience, a Car Control Clinic is required prior to the Thunderhill school. Conveniently, we have one of those scheduled for August 6 (and a chapter autocross at the same location on August 7, so you can make a weekend of it). The CCC cost is $80 and includes lunch. More info for these events can be found at: http://www.ggcbmwcca.org If you've never been to a track school, I *highly* encourage it. The skills you learn there will serve you well on the street. Plus, it's just a TON of fun! All makes are allowed, but BMWs are given priority. However, it has been several years since this has been an issue, so don't hesitate to alert your friends. Most convertibles and targas are not allowed at the Thunderhill School (see the event docs for more info), but they are more than welcome at the Car Control Clinic. Don't hesitate to get in touch with any questions. See you there! - Mark Driving Events Coordinator, GGC BMW CCA ----- mark@pdc-racing.net Check out my JustRacing Home Page at: http://www.justracing.com/homepage/mdadgar

I bought a new Peake tool and it says table 15 (which refers me to table 11) and then the fault code is 29. There is no 29?? What gives? Anyone fmiliar with diagnosing E46's. The other lists pale in comparison to this group. I still read most of the posts even though my 1998 was sold to someone on this list. Shel Hart

#7. GT/LTW Fascia Question - from Jeremy Conners

Date: Tue, 26 Jul 2005 17:36:38 -0400 From: "Jeremy Conners" <jeremy.conners@comcast.net> Subject: GT/LTW Fascia Question To those with knowledge of the GT/LTW front splitter and area: I have a '97 M3 that needed the fascia replaced along with the fender liners, pork-chops, ducting, etc. I was toying with the option of adding the GT/LTW fascia and splitter. At the time, I just ordered the GT/LTW splitter and necessary cosmetic parts and the plan was to complete the retrofit at a later date. Which brings me to my question: Having never seen the GT/LTW splitter setup up close, can someone tell me if the pork-chops (51.71.2.250.641/2) are used behind the splitter or is there a different piece that connects the fender liner to the fascia on GT/LTWs? I think it's the pork-chops as on the regular M3; however, they're not listed on the GT/LTW fascia and splitter page in ETK (as they are on the regular M3 fascia page). Anyone know or care? Thanks in advance, Jeremy Conners 97 M3
