Hey Bill, I run -3.2 up front, -2 out back and zero toe all around with Koni SA/ H&R race springs and Eibach sways. I get about 11 days out of a set of RA-1s because: A) LRP is HARD on left side tires B) WGI is HARD on left side tires C)SPI is HARD on left front tires D)My car is too heavy. That said... my wear is pretty even at those settings, favoring outside wear slightly. Toe out is the real killer of inside tread... especially as camber increases with steering input. Try zero or even a slight toe in (1/32 or so). Max out your castor if you have adjustibility. Oh, and I also found the RA-1 likes lower pressures... 38 hot is a pretty good target. 40+ goes all greasy on me. -- Walter

If this is for a track car, Bimmerworld carries a Motorsports part that holds up very well to track use. After about 5 years of periodic washing of the M3's filter, the circular disc at the end started coming unglued, so I recently bought a new from Eurosport. Just an FYI. Jim Bassett

That's a sturdy part as Chester said, but they can wear out. They can start "clunking" some if they are worn. However, on the 95 M3's, one of them (the lower I think) is a rubber bushing. Same with the non M E36 cars. For those cars, replacing that with the ball joint is the best thing for most people. I have replaced all 4 of mine. The parts are fairly cheap. It was very easy once I had the correct tool. I used the BMW136-311 tool from: http://www.technictool.com/bmwtools.htm With that tool, it was easy. I took the brake rotor off to give easy access. The tool will also install the new ball joint. Date: Wed, 3 Aug 2005 17:40:37 -0700 From: Steve Grigory <sgrigory@pacbell.net> Subject: FOR SALE- Schroth Rallye 4 Harness, red, never installed, pair I have a set, driver and passenger, of red (with black lettering) Schroth Rallye 4 Quick Fit Harnesses. I bought them and never installed them and I no longer own my M3. These are great for either track events or autocrossing since they hold you firmly in place and do not require you to screw up the interior of your car. I also purchased the 2" grips, which make it easier to adjust the belts when you strap yourself in, and the E36 seat bolt adapters. I am asking $375 for everything. It's all in the original boxes and packaging with the instructions. I'm located in the Bay Area (San Jose). Email or call: 650-804-0057 (mobile) sgrigory@gmail.com Steve

We found one loose on a 24 hour car and replaced it in about 30 minutes at the track in time to start the race on time. We make this tool but it is nothing special: http://www.nexternal.com/bimmerworl/?Product=580 You can use a hammer or puller as time allows and it should be smooth. Be careful not to tear the boot on reinstallation.
