Do either of these require the Z3 reinforcement plates? Neither of them *require* the use of the Z3 plates. I believe the Rogue RSMs come with a reinforcement plate, and you can use the Z3 plate with the JTD ones. > I would > like opinions on these issues. I've been using the JTD RSMs w/Z3 plates on both cars for years with no issues. However, I'm in the process of installing Koni ext-adjustable rears, and need to go to the Rogue units, sine the JTD ones can't accomodate the 12mm shock shaft (the current, leaking, "regular" Koni's have a standard 10mm shaft). So, I would recommend the Rogue ones, based on that. Be sure to ask for the optional 12mm washers. > Also, when replacing the RSMs I'd read in > the digest that it's best to replace the RSM gasket on both sides (PN > 33-52-1-128-734). Yep. The Rogue RSMs come with all the parts necessary (gasket, nuts, etc). > The front struts require replacing the nylon nuts in > the front suspension (2 strut to steering knuckle lower retaining bolts; > the locknut for the strut to steering knuckle upper bolt; the sway bar > link locknuts; the 3 strut upper mounting nuts; the strut shaft large > upper locknut), correct? You can certainly replace those items, and I would recommend it depending on the condition of them (mainly the nuts). The lower retaining bolts you can reuse, just apply your own Locktite. But it certainly seems like a wise thing to do to replace all the nuts, seeing as you'll be removing the old ones anyway. Kind of a "piece of mind" thing, and it's not a huge additional cost. IMO, YMMV, etcetcetc. Hope that helps, Jim Bassett

It's used for adjusting the slack of the wheel hub bearings. Park and Pedros makes them. My dealership here (Hunterdon BMW) said that their Hunter equipment could not do an alignment on my car. Weird. They were great about it, but now I need to find a good shop. I am near Bridgewater/Branchberg/Readington. Thanks, Mark Z _______________________________________________ Join Excite! - http://www.excite.com The most personalized portal on the Web!
