My dealership here (Hunterdon BMW) said that their Hunter equipment could not do an alignment on my car. Weird. They were great about it, but now I need to find a good shop. I am near Bridgewater/Branchberg/Readington. > FWIW, my local dealership aligned my lowered M3 3 or 4 times before I started doing my own alignments. OK - I have the 16-17mm in front of me. Double-open-ends, says "Pittsburgh" on one side and "Chrome Vanadium" and "India" on the other side. Just went through their site (35 pages returned for "Pittsburgh") and didn't see ANY double-open-ends.. so it may have been an in-store only deal (they do have those..) Sorry - no model numbers on them. They are "fully polished" (well - sort of polished - not Snap-On level.) Best, Don

Do either of these require the Z3 reinforcement plates? I would like opinions on these issues. Also, when replacing the RSMs I'd read in the digest that it's best to replace the RSM gasket on both sides (PN 33-52-1-128-734). Both units are the real-deal. I really like the JTD unit. If you're using ext. adjustable Koni's the JTD mounts can be used with the 12mm shafts by not using the metal sleeve inside the bushings, and using washers with 12mm openings. Jim can even supply the washers, I do believe. If you're planning to add a rear strut brace, then the Z3 plates are not necessary. And yes, spend a buck and use new RSM gaskets. I live in San Jose, California, and work in Cupertino. My ideal mechanic is the one that works for his customers all by himself, and has a very clean shop. I used to have one, but he's retired for a number of years. Any recommendation would be greatly appreciated! David
