What does everyone use to help keep your tires away from the elements? -max

#4. FS: 17" Contour knockoffs - from driver8 ///M3

Date: Thu, 27 Oct 2005 03:54:59 -0700 (PDT) From: driver8 ///M3 <driver8m3@yahoo.com> Subject: FS: 17" Contour knockoffs I just got a 2002 E46M3, so I'll be getting rid of the 99 M3 (not one major problem in 6 years & 152k miles) soon. I have a set of 4 wheels (tires mounted have little tread left) for sale. These are the ATP Contour knockoffs (1st gen, they do NOT have the polished silver lip)...all 4 are 8.5x17 & in decent condition. You'll need 5mm spacers for the front for these to fit. I'm in Maryland, and can deliver them if you're reasonably close, or meet 1/2 way. $200 for the set. Thanks, Russell PS-This is the first E46M3 I've driven...I love it.

#9. BMW Wheel Size Calculator - from Zack Steinkamp
Top
Date: Thu, 27 Oct 2005 08:09:33 -0700 (PDT) From: Zack Steinkamp <thenobot@yahoo.com> Subject: BMW Wheel Size Calculator Group -- After tiring of constantly making offset calculations and measuring the car to try to fit different wheels, I broke down and created a web app to aid in picking wheel sizes. http://www.thenobot.org/apps/wheel_size.php Currently I only have dimensions for E46 M3s (my current car). If someone has a tape measure and a few minutes handy, it would be cool to get the measurements for an E36 M3. The dimensions I need are: (for both front and rear) - distance between outer lips of wheels - wheel width - wheel offset - clearance between inner lip of wheel and nearest rubbing companion (e.g. strut, rear trailing arm) - clearance between outer lip and fender Given that data, I can plug it into the model, and people can check for fit. -zs
