#3. StonGard Light Protection - from Jeremy Conners
Top
Date: Sat, 5 Nov 2005 14:54:04 -0500 From: "Jeremy Conners" <jeremy.conners@comcast.net> Subject: StonGard Light Protection Well, a few weeks ago I finally tagged a retread on the highway here in Detroit. Luckily, it was only a partial retread and it only managed to remove the left foglight (harness & bracket intact). The light has been replaced (thanks James @ BW); however, repeated attempts to contact StonGard for a replacement foglight film kit have been futile. They seem to be redesigning their site, but repeated emails have gone unanswered and the phone numbers are disconnected. Maybe an ownership change??? Anyway, does anyone know how to get in touch with them now? Alternatively, is there another source for similar pre-cut film? Or even film directly from 3M? Or another vendor that has the film in stock? Thanks, Jeremy Conners 97 M3

It a Eurosport E506-300 95 M3. I believe this is the version for M3's through 12/94 with the 0-261-203-506 ECM. The Bosch #0-261-200-413 later ECM has EWS. Worked fine until I replaced it with the chip for the Euro HFM (are your ears ringing Carlos?). Long time ago. I probably wouldn't want to buy something like this without installation because there is no guarantee that it is not broken already and it would be hard if to prove who was at fault if the buyer plugged it in backwards. $100 with installation seems fair. I am an EE so this would not be hard for me. I live in Santa Clara so come on down. I have the original invoice from Eurosport. Unsharked I think it's ~62mph, but I know it's higher sharked. Past Sunday's autox was on an airstrip...what a hoot! Hit the limiter before takeoff ;-)) Too scared to look at the speedo, would have missed a coupe gates if I tried at that speed.
