This is an e36M3 list :) Right below is the E30 application which has the same geometry as the 95 M3 control arm bushing. You can go with that one and fwiw I've only heard good things about those. Anyway Jon is on this list and he can address any questions about those. Carlos. 98 M3 89 325i

Date: Tue, 6 Dec 2005 10:06:31 -0600 From: Steve Klein <s.klein@steveklein.cc> Subject: Re: Treehouse Eyeball Bushings Patrick- I've had these on my '95 daily driver for about a year and have no ride harshness problems. I love them. I also have the Al control arms, and after about two months they started squeaking over every bump or deflection. I added a bit of grease on top of the nylon insert and that went away for a while, but came back about two months later. No problem, I thought, since it takes me all of ten minutes to remove, clean and re-grease both of them, but I realized the problem is that they are exposed to whatever is coming off the road, since they open forward with no shield, letting dust and grime get into the mating surface. I used two 1-1/2" rubber feet for stools and chairs and cut them down to make two shields that slide onto the control arm through the face, then ride on that covering the exposed areas with a skirt that covers the top and sides for anything liquid or falling from above. This has worked like a charm for the past six months. Hope that helps, Steve On Dec 6, 2005, at 9:49 AM, E36M3 wrote: > Subject: Treehouse Eyeball Arms > > Time to change the original front LCA's on my 105k mile '95. So, yes, they are for E36 machines too! Date: Thu, 08 Dec 2005 06:47:12 -0800 From: "twisty M3" <twistym3@hotmail.com> Subject: Tranny Brace: How to get at the top bolts? Is there an easy way to get to the bolts at the top of the tranny brace? Regular wrenches and ratchets certainly don't work well, and I can't imagine how in the world I'm supposed to be able to torque those things back on properly. Thanks, Jonathan L.

I just took off my old UUC black mounts and put on the JTD brace, and both were equally hard to get to that top bolt. I know for a fact they can't be torqued correctly right now. Do you just "torque" them by feel? On that note, the JTD brace is a nice piece and Jim Mihal is a lot of help. I bought the item used and sent Jim had me return it to him to have it freshened up with new bushings and hardware. Of course, I'm rethinking the whole thing now and will probably end up taking it off and putting the UUC mounts back on until the car takes on track-only duty. I knew there would be sound/vibration, but Holy Cow!!! I like it, but I don't think I can handle it every day. Jonathan << Are you talking about the OEM or UUC type tranny mounts?
