I'm looking to lighten my 325 that might be moving from stock to prepared class. So if you have one just taking up space....looks not important :) Rob 93 325 JS#0

IIRC, they are convex on the outside edges allowing for a wider view angle. And the passenger side one does not have the "Objects are closer..." warning. And they replace the NA mirror (rather than stick-on over, like the MultiVex ones that sone of us have :-)) Jim Bassett

I would definitely say the safety benefit of having a convex driver mirror far outweighs any benefit of using it as a parking aid! In fact, if you use the driver mirror as a parking aid, then when do you do when you park on the passneger side? That's convex! At any rate, I have never used my side mirror as a parking aid...I don't even use the rearview mirror and instead pivot my whole torso so as to make sure I'm not running into anything...a child crossing when he/she shouldn't be, etc. If I've ever used the side mirror, it's just to eyeball it, but I have a pretty good feel of the car without and I can say that I've only bumped curbs maybe twice...and those were light touches not even hard enough to deform the rubber enough to rash my wheels...
