I explained that I already have a separate convex mirror for the driver's side the totally eliminates any blind spot. And at my age, if I "pivot my torso" any more than absolutely necessary I'll end up in traction for a month. I have yet to run down any children. Not that I haven't thought about it once or twice. I remember when I first got the M3, I asked about convex stick-ons and the sorts and everyone teased me. One quote was, "You have to adjust your mirrors correctly, grasshoppa." Personally, I detest the stick on snots. Whenever I see them on other people's cars, I automatically write them off as people who don't know how to adjust their mirrors. I don't see how having a flat mirror on the driver side will help much over a convex mirror as you'd eventually get used to it, no? Ok..back to medication... It's called an Autobahn mirror, and it has a stem that stick on to the inside of the windshield close to the A pillar. The head is adjustable, and it has sort of an oblong shape. Anyway, it works great, I never have to even turn my head before changing lanes to the left, and I still have full use of the flat mirror for judging distance accurately. I'm sure I could adjust to the full convex setup if I felt the need.
