And to further clarify this point, the CCA rules actually suggest using the E36 M3 control arms on any car that can accept them ("strongly advised" is the quote). Stock class, section 2, paragraph L, page 18. Cheers, Jim Bassett - apparently a pedant today (Hi MarkD! :-))

Vince just shared that he runs the standard E30 ones without any issues. Infact I have had a reputable turner/racer suggest me to run the same and change once a year. Not sure why you would say its: Really.......... dumb. Want to share some hard facts which we don't know of? Thanks in advance. True, This happened a coupe years ago?!!? Though I was able to order the original copper-core SP here in Seattle a couple months back - I'll check again. KLBurgess -------------------- 7 -------------------- "Jim Bassett" <jim@jimbassett.com> Subject: Bosch spark plug update Hi All, Just an FYI, Bosch has updated the spark plug that is the stock plug for the M50 325 (and I believe the same is used in the '95 M3). The F7LDCR is superseded by the FR7LDC+. My mechanic kept getting sent the latter when he was ordering the former, so I called Bosch USA, and confirmed the change. Basically replacing a copper-electrode plug with a yttrium-electrode one. (FWIW, a similar change occurred with the plug for the OBD-II M3 a while back: FGR8KQC to FGR8KQE.) Cheers, Jim Bassett

I would probably put M arms on my M car - they are beefier. But the new Meyle is good - not to be confused with some of their old junk and even some of their current stuff that has not been through the re-evaluation progress. #9. Flange on exhaust manifold broke - my options? - from John Davidson

Hi Guys, My exhaust manifold broke right before the flange mating it to the pre cat pipes. It is the set on the back of the motor. The rest of the exhaust system looks good. Anyone have experience with this and what options I have to get if fixed? Reweld the flange back on? Buy a used exhaust manifold - full set or just the back piece? DIY job with some wrench buddies and my son who is a certified welder? Any muffler shop ok to do the work? Any help is appreciated. As it is my only car, I've got to get the car back on the road ASAP. Probably not much help, but the exact thing happened to me a month ago. It happened to be at the shop right after I bought it when it was identified, so I had them replace it w/a new piece. Can't remember the exact cost, but it wasn't too bad for an OEM piece. -----Original Message----- From: John Davidson [mailto:mzoom007@roadfly.org] Sent: Saturday, December 17, 2005 1:49 PM To: E36M3 Subject: [E36M3] Flange on exhaust manifold broke - my options?
