I assumed they were legal because they are specifically designed for Road Race use. I will confirm with the powers that be.... Good thought for me to review the rules, as I see I will need a HANS type device as well. Thank you! #2. Removing rear ABS (wheel speed) sensor - from Ahmad Lutfeali

Date: Tue, 10 Jan 2006 15:52:54 -0500 From: "Ahmad Lutfeali" <m3_racer99@hotmail.com> Subject: Removing rear ABS (wheel speed) sensor Group, I have had my ABS light on for a while. Got the ABS codes checked and found out that one of the rear speed sensor is shot. Its been a PITA to remove the little sucker. I tried spraying PB Blaster, tapped it with a screw and hammer but it just wont even move (rotate). Anyone on this list experienced this? I don't mind breaking it to bits since I have a new sensor but even nailing it hard, it just wont move. Suggestions? TIA, A.L.

After further investigating, I could actually see some light dampness around the thermostat housing, so I dropped it off today to have someone give it a pressure test... turned out to be exactly what it was, so the housing and thermostat were replaced. Just for peace of mind, since I've had some bad experience recently with headgaskets 'n all, I'll definitely be having the oil analyzed again soon. Thanks to all, Jonathan L.

Apparently this will help reduce the heat transfer to the brake fluid. I would only think this would benefit track driven cars which is why I am looking at it. This would be the stock calipers not big brake systems. Any truth, experience, etc would be helpful. Thanks, --Bill 96 M3 red
