We will have the Ti plates in a week or two - I am approving the samples today. They will definitely shield the caliper dust boots and help with the heat into your fluid. SS pistons will help with temps also. Thickness is 0.040", some pads may require using them for a couple of sessions to get rid of pad material before these slide in (an E36 325 is specifically tight in the Hawk line). Not to mention that the last set of Blues I got (not from Bimmerworld) had the inside pad rattle clip bonded in the wrong location. Easy to clip off, but annoying. - Mark ----- mark@pdc-racing.net Check out my JustRacing Home Page at: http://www.justracing.com/homepage/mdadgar

Date: Wed, 18 Jan 2006 06:40:23 -0500 From: scampbel_imap <scampbel@mitre.org> Subject: erattic tach On the way home yesterday my 97 M3/4 5 spd with 102000 miles started showing ~5500 RPM for a while and then reverted to the correct 3500 RPM reading. The MPG gauge read 40 MPG while this was happening. At the exit ramp the tach dropped to 0 for a while and then came back to normal. The engine didn't loose power or sound different in any way. The clutch is original but still isn't slipping. The battery is about 2 years old and starts the car right away even at 10 degrees so I think it is OK. Has any seen this problem and a possible solution. Steve C
