If you're looking at a bunch of infractions, get yourself a lawyer. Post over on dtmpower.net in the New England section asking for a traffic lawyer, someone should be able to refer one for you. It won't retract further and locks when I try to pull it out to use. Is there anything I can do to fix it myself or am I stuck going to the dealer. If I can do it, how do I get the side panel off without destroying it? TIA Carey -- Carey Probst Member, M.I.T. Date: Sun, 12 Feb 2006 21:23:33 -0500 From: Mo Karamat <karamatm@optonline.net> Subject: have ticket (in MA), need council Alex, Hello. I would reccomend going to court. There is a good chance the DA will speak with you and reduce the points, and have you pay a fine. Another more expensive option is getting a lawyer. The plus here is that He should be able will get you in and out of court quickly, and normally will be able to have the ticket switched to a offense that will not carry any points but a fine. Sorry I do not know any lawyers in the area... Good luck Mo -------------------- 9 -------------------- Date: Sun, 12 Feb 2006 01:12:45 -0500 From: "Alexander Fadeev" <afadeev@smu.edu> Subject: have ticket (in MA), need council Hi folks, I've recently moved to Boston, MA, and have finally ;-) earned a date with a local traffic court for alleged speeding (among other nuisance infractions - the cop was clearly not a Beemer fan) in Cambridge. I'm entirely new to the area and would appreciate local insight into: a). the best course of action that would lead to the least short-term ticket/insurance vs. long-term insurance cost; b). referrals to Cambridge area attorneys; Thanks in advance, -- alex f

#6. 97 to 98 sedan weight question - from Patrick Goss - PA

Date: Mon, 13 Feb 2006 09:09:56 -0600 From: "Patrick Goss - PA" <Patrick_Goss@GMACM.COM> Subject: 97 to 98 sedan weight question As far as 97 4 door vs 98 4 door, the 98 M3 picked up side airbags, and rear sedan headrests (correct me if I am wrong). My question is how much weight did this add? Is 97 the prime year more for this? What about heated seats, how much weight did that add? Just curious, Thanks, Patrick Goss 97 M3/4, non heated seats!

Do you really need full M power for the street? I came close to buying a 540it, but opted for an Allroad to get more hauling capacity and baby-seat-loading friendly ride height. They would then call you to the city court. During that time, appeal it again (the cop wont be present the 1st time). Second time he "MAY" be present. If he is not there, you win ;) If he is, then you need to fight it out (remember, his words against yours). I used to live in Boston and if you need an attorney, you should contact Jerrill. Wont charge you anything over the phone. www.krowenlaw.com. I had one of the largest dealership in Boston sell me a car without a title (Euro delivery, car had 24K miles and was NEVER registered in the US). Jerrill helped me out. Goodluck. #10. Trailer light wiring - from Weston-Lewis, Graeme
Top
Date: Mon, 13 Feb 2006 11:31:20 -0700 From: "Weston-Lewis, Graeme" <GWESTON@lsil.com> Subject: Trailer light wiring While waiting for my Da'lan hitch to arrive, I got to thinking about the best way to run the wiring for the trailer lights. On my other car, the license plate lights are in the bumper cover, so there was a grommet available to run the wiring through so that I had a nice tidy installation. I realize I could just run the wires out of the trunk while the trailer is attached, but I would like a more professional and permanent means of installation Anyone care to share how they have run their trailer light wiring. TIA, Graeme
