Basically drove 51K for free if that is what they paid for it in 95. Kbb.com doesn't have a listing for ltw, but this is a collector car, so the price is whatever the market is willing to pay. I'd wager this is more collectable compared to similar collector cars of the era. Didn't we recently see in a Barrett-Jackson auction a calloway twin-turbo for only 21K. Some hold value, some don't. So, where is this > car and is it worth the 32K asking price? There's a regular 95 M3 (not LTWT) with the "Full Dinan Package" and 35K miles that's been advertised in the back of Autoweek magazine for a couple of months now, they are asking $41K. -- Jamie Howton 2000 M5 1995 M3 Hampshire, IL

At 51k it's a "bit" past the collector car status IMHO. But if you consider how much the Motorsport parts (extentable lip, oil pan, strut brace, etc) would cost if you buy them new it's a few grand right there (owner said they are all new in box). If you're looking for a track car you can spend the premium on other mods that will make the car much faster. But if you want a unique vehicle this "may" worth the price. >-------------------- 10 -------------------- >Date: Fri, 17 Mar 2006 08:31:48 -0500 >From: Carlos.F.Lopez@jci.com >Subject: Re: [E36M3] m3 ltw for sale > > >Yea, my bad...it is near Philly...not sure what I was reading, a little >under the weather last night, but I'll ready to test drive this baby ;-)) > >Still, I guess my main point was, is a LTW with 51K miles worth 32K? > >It's worth whatever somebody will pay for it. #5. differntial changes - from Tom Yee

Date: Fri, 17 Mar 2006 12:11:16 -0500 From: "Tom Yee" <tomgsr@hotmail.com> Subject: differntial changes Dear E36 M3 friends: Has anyone changed the OEM differential to a higher numeric ratio? What types of effects did you get with respect to acceleration (0-60, standing quarter, etc.)? I am looking at some ideas, which include cam kits, but wondered if anyone has tried this. I expect that the speedo will be off by a percentage equal to the change in ratio (and suspect the odometer, too) (or is the drive from the output side of the diff vs the input side?). Are there other things I should be aware of if I go this route? Any thoughts welcome here, thanks for ideas! Regards, Tom Yee

Different springs, same dampers as the US ones. The springs were the Euro M3 springs, slightly stiffer not sure if they're slightly lower or not. My roommate has an M3 with those springs and it still plows like a pig and rolls like a tamale. :-) >PS: My adversity to owning a LTW M3 is you can have any color you want as long as it's white. I must say however, I do want those corner decals! You know you can buy those right, you could be the kewlest kid at M3 parties! :-) I like those as well but for some reason only on white cars. -Carlos.
