I don't have fold down seats, and I'd guess the back is about the same. That would be a lot of stretch and you would have serious issues aside from pinging...like the valves meeting the head soon. Regards, Rich

Weight of all of those pieces is around 25-30 lbs IIRC not including the fold down supports (which is another ~20 lbs) I am not aware of any replacement pieces but what is the point if you are trying to save weight? I could see putting something in there to allow for storage but otherwise, go without. Regards, Rich

I never use the rear seat anyway, so I'm contemplating removal of everything back there and replacing the seat back with something that just prevents me from hearing all my tools bouncing around during the week. ;) Anyone know what the total weight of seat bottoms, fold down portions and side bolsters would come to? Date: Mon, 10 Apr 2006 17:23:32 -0700 From: "FranKirsten" <frankirsten@msn.com> Subject: Re: replacing knock sensors on '95 I recently replaced my knock sensors after servicing the cylinder head, figured it was good maintenance since I was in there and hoped never to have the intake off again. Then, I recently got an error code on one of them and noticed some cactus near the knock sensors. After getting the intake off, I discovered that a pack-rat had chewed through the wiring harness. So, technically I did not have to replace the sensor this time, just solder the wire. Oh how I wish I had a garage.

I need to replace my tie rod assemblies ( they have a good half inch play each ) I never done it before but looking at my Bentley's manual it looks pretty straight fwd. I looked for a quick quote and noticed that there are 3 brands which vary significantly in price. Any suggestions on getting one over the other? Is the Lemfoerder almost 3 times better than the Karlyn? I figured I'd go for the Meyle... I just need something that won't brake! Brand: Lemfoerder $80 Brand: Meyle $50 Brand: Karlyn $30 Thx Stefano '98 M3 with funny steering... _______________________________________________ Join Excite! - http://www.excite.com The most personalized portal on the Web!

I just purchased new Lemoerder rod ends today for about $40 ea from pelican. Are you sure you need the entire assembly or just the end? You can probably get away with just the 'end'. Dave T.
