And I also have to agree on taking the P-car discussion offline. Keeping this list private for so may years has been so we can try to stay more on topic. Sorry to be such a moist blanket. You know I love you all :-) Suzy

Apparently there was, and I declare Scott McClung the winner. Now, the competition is over, let's see if we call all follow some of the basic list rules: http://www.bmw-m.net/Resources/digest_info.htm Regards, Rich

Date: Wed, 19 Apr 2006 10:25:46 -0500 From: "Gary" <probikeguy@probikeusa.com> Subject: Dual pumps or how to modify your blue pump... Pumps I have dual pumps in my car...i used the stock blue top pump and a pump from a 93 325i, (white top)... You can either do the pump mod two ways...Buy a pre 95 325i pump set, like an early 92/93 325i set up, and just swap the entire assembly into the newer car... OR add another pump and make a true dual pump set up. I can run my car until the light comes on without any fuel problems... BLUE PUMP...Modifing the blue pump is really easy. I did mine. I posted about it on the Bimmerforums. You can look it up there it has pictures and a complete description of how to do it including the parts from the hardware store to buy... The biggest PITA doing the dual pumps is getting the float level thing into the RH side tank after you bend the pee out of it to oriient it the right direction...Other than that its very simple to do.. If you can't find it ont he Bimmerforums let me know I can post how to do it.. Gary Boost soon...

HOW THE HECK DO YOU GET THEM OUT OF THEIR HOLES ON THE PANEL??!! Those holes are TOO SMALL to get them out, I swear! It wasn't this hard replacing them when I had my 4 dr, but now on my M3 it's a PITA!! I had been trying to get the old ones out so I can replace them, my door panel has been off for a couple weeks now, as I haven't had any time to work on the car in quite a while, so I figured I'd get to replacing the clips once I have time. When I tried to replace the clips, I couldn't get the old ones out! I originally pulled the panel because some of the plastic on the inside part of the door had separated from the wood portion. I had glued it all back up with some Gorilla Glue, and now I can't get the new clips on. Any advice, anyone? You'll have to pull the door panel when you replace it, so purchase some new > clips that attach the panel to the door. I think that there are 11 of > them, > and you'll surely break a few of them.
