I would agree..Every time I drive a stock one I am amazed at how nice they are...I even liked my Dad's M3/4 auto car..it was really nice for a daily driver! He decided at 64 he didn't need it. Since it was too nice and he basicly uses his vehicle like a truck! Makes me want a E36 Touring (aka: station wagon) converted to an M3! I can't wait until my car is back up and running! Anal, and turbo project = time consuming! Gary Boosted M3 soon...

It's a cheap and relatively easy repair (as long as your door panels don't fall apart in the process). http://www.understeer.com/window.shtml http://www.logun.org/window_fix.htm The only trick is to be sure the ball in the window arm snaps all the way into the plastic clip. This is in a '96 M3 with @160k miles on it, so I suspect there are worn parts in the window support mechanism. Has anyone dealt with this? Any writeup or parts lists available? Thanks! At least one ;) Don't worry, its easy - google a bit and you will find a good write-up. My tip of the day is go to autozone and buy the rebuild kits for $3 instead of $15 at the dealer. Get extras too - in case you tear one while installing it. -- Walter
