I sold a pair of perfect black manual Vaders for just $750 after leaving them out there for 2 mos. at $850. You will not find an upholsterer to put OE quality skin on one for less than that (at least I don't think you will). -- Walter

There is a chap named Eric (in sales) at http://www.leatherseats.com who would probably use useful to contact. I didn't have Vadars - had a convertible with sport seats. The price to redo ALL the seat leather (me installing it) was less than $800, complete with the M stripes in the seats. Had choices such as two-tone, lots of types of leather. Quite a helpful chap.. worth talking to him a bit. Date: Sat, 22 Apr 2006 11:25:29 -0700 From: Scott M <smlists@pacbell.net> Subject: Re: [E36M3] Track Car Alternative... Well, that is fine if you can have a dedicated track car and something to tow it to the track, but at that point you might have a lot more fun in a prepped 325is or even M3 that can be run in real race groups, and can be had for around $20K. Leaving a $5K / year budget to run it for 3 years. I am in the process of selling my race car program - a dedicated C4 race car legal for NASA or SCCA - ITE, as well as the expensive to own and feed full size SUV that went along with it for towing purposes. I picked up a brand new 2006 Evo IX for under $29K, and it has a warrantee for 5 years, 60K miles and a full 10/100 on the powertrain. Hard to beat the value there - the car is very quick and handles razor sharp, as good as a well modded E36 M3, but with more power and AWD. And it is fun to drive around town as a semi-daily driver. I even took it up skiing last week. Which is a lot more use than I was getting out of my race car that mostly sat and got used less than half a dozen times / year. All depends on your priorities and dedication to tracking I suppose. Bottom line - many ways to skin that cat!! We went to the Exoticorso, or whatever it was called and I got to meet a bunch of stuck up exotic car owners. Hahaha. *sigh* Anyway, I haven't posted all the pics yet (considering selling them), but I thought I would share a few of Rob's '95 which was putting the smack down! http://www.pbase.com/ekosan/exoticorso (you must view at original res to truly appreciate the pic) I was playing around with the 3046 picture since I noticed that there's a Porsche GT2 in Rob's heat trail. ;) Comments are welcome. #6. 95M3: Looking for 95M3 HFM and airbox, also black cloth vader seat covers - from Msebmwman@aol.com

Date: Tue, 25 Apr 2006 01:32:57 EDT From: Msebmwman@aol.com Subject: 95M3: Looking for 95M3 HFM and airbox, also black cloth vader seat covers All; Hope everyone is well. I’m looking for a couple of items for my 1995 M3, build date 8/95 that someone might have removed when upgrading, converting, or selling their 95M3 OBD1, 3.0 liter cars: 1. A stock 95 HFM for 3.0 liter OBD1 M3 known to be working when removed. 2. A stock 95 airbox for 3.0 liter OBD1 M3; without the air filter is fine. 3. Black seat covers for vader seats. Some of the longer term listers will remember a group buy from 5+ years ago from a company in Florida that made cloth seat covers with a section that fit the seating surface / seat back combination and a separate piece that fit the head rests. There were the 3 BMW Motorsport colors sewn into one of the corners of the seat back. I’m looking for either just the driver side in good condition or both driver and passenger sides in good condition, black color cloth. Thanks, Marc 95M3

Top
Date: Tue, 25 Apr 2006 13:13:16 -0400 From: "Ahmad Lutfeali" <m3_racer99@hotmail.com> Subject: WTB E36 M3 Folks, A good friend of mine is getting rid of his FD RX7 Twin Turbo and is looking to get an M3. Condition is the key here (no major accidents), we are flexible on color although Estoril Blue and Silver are preferred. Year 97,98 or a 99 however mileage must be somewhat low in the 60-70K range. Coupe or a sedan. Maintenance should be good. A few mods such as Bilsteins, short shifter, exhaust, intake, software, headlight are okay. Prefer a southern car (no salt) or if its up North, it should be a summer only car. Email me offline if you have any leads or want to part with your car. Thanks in advance. Ahmad
