However, the 95 is a race car and the fitment does not need to be perfect, nor does the light even need to work. I just need to fill the hole where the existing one broke. jeff ----- Original Message ----- From: <Carlos.F.Lopez@jci.com> To: <jrstowe@comcast.net> Cc: <e36m3@bmw-m.net> Sent: Tuesday, May 09, 2006 10:14 AM Subject: Re: [E36M3] WTB corner markers > For which car? #8. Crazy irritating door squeak - from Zachary Eyler-Walker

Date: Tue, 9 May 2006 15:42:22 -0400 (EDT) From: Zachary Eyler-Walker <zwalker@cs.utk.edu> Subject: Crazy irritating door squeak So, my 96's driver's side door just started squeaking/groaning like crazy when opening and closing. It's fairly low pitched and seems to be coming from the area where the gold colored bar slides into the door, rather than the hinges (but I could be wrong; it's hard to localize the sound). I put a little grease on that bar, thinking it might be some rollers sliding along it causing the squeal. This seemed to cut the noise about in half, but didn't really solve the problem. Anyone got a clue about how to fix this? I would really rather avoid taking the door apart, but this squeaking must be stopped. Thanks, Zach

#9. valve spring retainer redux for pre 9/94 E36 M3 - from Rick Dahlka

And, does the head have to be removed to perform the work? Local dealer quoted $3k for labor which included head removal. Sound steep to me.

Sounds more like a sub-$1k job to me. >Date: Tue, 9 May 2006 16:34:55 -0400 >From: "Rick Dahlka" <rickd@swfla.rr.com> >Subject: valve spring retainer redux for pre 9/94 E36 M3 > >What would one expect to pay for the retro-fit.
