It's all starting to come together... BTW, here is a video of a lap from that day at Sears. Couple of questions (or rather clarifications of my understanding): 1) I believe I know that Bilstens haven't been mentioned because they're too big in diameter to work with 8.5 M-Contours up front w/o spacers (the latter of which I'd like to avoid, unless someone can make a compelling argument to the contrary), correct? 2) If I'm not mistaken, KONI's are a "cut-n-gut"/insert affair for the fronts, using the original Boge housings I've got now (is this procedure a royal PITA, and/or is it possible that my housings could be less than optimal for this procedure due to 8yr/60K-mile of wear on them)? 3) Should I consider a KONI kit from TCKline, Ground-Control or others that include springs (in a variety of rates from street->track) and sometimes RSM/other components, or just stick with my current 8yr/60K-mile stock springs and 2yr/o JTD RSMs?: TCKline SA E36MOESport (E36MSport includes springs that lower the car 1.5-2.0 inches, really don't want that, cut-n-gut<http://www.tcklineracing.com/suspension.htm#sprtng> $897.63 TCKline SA E36MExtOESport (same as above, but includes Externally Adjustable Rears, includes RSM), cut-n-gut<http://www.tcklineracing.com/suspension.htm#sprtext> $1,080.33 TCKline SA C/O TCKE36TM (SA Coilover kit, includes RSM, can upgrade to monoball RSM for $56.10) <http://www.tcklineracing.com/suspension.htm#true> $1,598.35 TCKline DA C/O <http://www.tcklineracing.com/suspension.htm#da>TCKE36SD (DA Coilover kit, includes Monoball RSM)<http://www.tcklineracing.com/suspension.htm#da> $2,258.15 TCKline SA Front <http://www.tcklineracing.com/shocks.htm#single>8641-1342 Sport, cut-n-gut<http://www.tcklineracing.com/shocks.htm#single> $183.75x2 TCKline SA Rear <http://www.tcklineracing.com/shocks.htm#single>8240-1115 Sport<http://www.tcklineracing.com/shocks.htm#single> $142.59x2 TCKline SA Rear <http://www.tcklineracing.com/shocks.htm#single>8241-1200 Sport (Externally Adjustable)<http://www.tcklineracing.com/shocks.htm#single> $194.00x2 TCKline DA Front C/O 8711-1007L/R Sport<http://www.tcklineracing.com/shocks.htm#double> $395.00x2 TCKline DA Rear 8242-1009L/R Sport (Externally Adjustable)<http://www.tcklineracing.com/shocks.htm#double> $375.00x2 Ground Control SA C/O Street (includes RSMs, Externally/Top Adjustable Rears, +$100), cut-n-gut<http://www.ground-control-store.com/products/description.php/II=536/CA=9> $999.00 Ground Control SA C/O Track/School (includes RSMs, Externally/Top Adjustable Rears, +$100)<http://www.ground-control-store.com/products/description.php/II=537/CA=9> $1,489.00 Ground Control SA Front/Rear Shock Set (+$109 for E36M3), cut-n-gut<http://www.ground-control-store.com/products/description.php/II=640/CA=9> $520.00 4) Are the SA/DA C/O fronts above going have the same interference problems as Bilstens with non-spacered 8.5" M-Contours up front? 5) Are there other components that I should expect to replace at the same time due to 8yr/60K-mile age/wear (or consider upgrading)?: - RSMs (again), the JTDs I have in there are 2yrs and ~15K miles old - Sway Bar End Link (I've already had to put in new stock ones after running the Eibach Sways for a while), I've also got a intermittent "clunk" coming from the L/F, which I'm betting the the link again. - Front Caster/Camber plates - Front Control Arm Bushings - Rear Trailing Arm Bushings/Monoballs/Bearings - Rear Lower Control Arms - Rear Ride Height Adjustors Am I missing anything else, including an opportunity to change my mind and go a different direction? This car is (regrettably, due to work/family obligations) a 80-90% street daily driver... I don't suppose either TC or GC are list sponsors and have a discount for list members??? ;) Thanks!, Dave BTW, what's conventional wisdom on battery and clutch/flywheel replacements and I know all of that is getting tired as well...? Combine of of this with tires, the guibos I already know about and replacing the passenger seat occupancy sensor, it's going to be a busy and expensive Summer of 2006 (but I wouldn't dream of getting rid of the car, I'd lose my two reliable high-points to each day)...
