Yeah, the TCK plates that I've seen come with a tall, small diameter aluminum shaft nut to give additional clearance for camber adjustment. What feature do your Konis have on the end if there's not an 11mm hex? I recall that the old ones had a pair of flats instead, but I haven't seen that pattern for years. Neil 96 M3

ElephantMotorsports (Jack Money) sells tckline stuff. I've used both, GC on my E30 M3 and tckline on my current E36. The GC stuff is more race oriented, noisy, nothing is covered up so dirt gets everywhere, etc, so I would only use their stuff on a race car. I really liked the suspension though, the car handled like a go-kart. My tckline suspension has dust shields for the rear shocks, even though I have front coilovers there's a dust shield on those also. Their camber plates are pricey so I went a cheaper route with Motor Force camber plates, really nice spherical bearing and the needle bearings are sealed. The two folks I know that have tckline suspensions with GC plates always complain about the noise (Hi Rich!). The other friend is having his car redone so the GC plates are going into the circular file and probably being replaced by tckline ones. Mine makes noise only because I cheaped out and I'm using Eibach springs instead of the VVT springs tckline suspensions use, it's a 2.5" vs 60mm thing so my front springs rattle a bit. The car handles great though I only hope the Konis last as long as the Bilsteins usually last. :-) Also, I'm changing sway bars and the GC E36 ones are a thing of beauty, hopefully they won't make noise cuz I'm putting them on anyway. ;-) -Carlos. 98 M3 tckline SA Koni shocks, Eibach ERS springs, MF camber plates, GC rear adjusters, GC front sway bar, UUC rear sway bar, etc...

#11. ABS question - from Carl Stern
Top
Date: Mon, 05 Jun 2006 10:48:41 -0600 From: Carl Stern <carl.stern@xilinx.com> Subject: ABS question Dear Collective, If your ABS (anti-lock brakes) went out would you pay $500 to repair it or would you just live with a regular braking system? Apparently, I have a short in my wiring harness between the sensors and the ABS module. This has been triggering the ABS light for the better part of a year. (there have been cases of rabbits chewing up some wires at my company parking lot, perhaps they got me too) Note 1: I do track the car occasionally. Note 2: I don't drive the car in the snow. Note 3: It rarely rains here, I drive on dry roads 98% of the time. thanks, Carl 95 M3, 43k
