Low throaty drone off idle to 3,000. Sound doesn't get big until over 4,000. Can't confirm if it came w/ extra ponies. Based on the feedback, and other research, I think the Supersprint SS is probably the right path for me, once I take it. Given the limited performance gain, I'm thinking hard about doing exhaust, or a driver-side Recaro so I can actually take it to the track (headroom). I run Mobil 1 0w40 in both my 95 M3 and 98 Trooper (5qt capacity). Both get 12k change intervals in Texas heat and samples go to Blackstone after every change. Is 20w50 conventional ok? I am a "3k mile and change the oil" kind of guy. So it's a lot cheaper with conventional vs. synthetic at 7quarts per change! What weight is everyone running? Everything else is "hearsay" :-) Sorry Kelvin, I will take this one step further than Jim, the color of the oil is 100% meaningless. Oil can get darker for a whole host of reasons, one of the most common is that the additives darken in use (from the heat) but are still perfectly effective. Oils vary in their ability to lubricate, to sustain detergency and maintain their additive package over time/use, etc based on their base oil, additives, etc. You can't make sweeping statements like you did about the lights. Personally, I don't think there is an oil made that won't last 3k miles (even $.99/qt conventional Coastal or Super Tech from WalMart) in street use, most all synthetics will last considerably longer. One of my favorites is German Castrol (0W30 and Made in Germany) and it has a track record of lasting 7,500 - 10,000 miles without any issue whatsoever. There are many other examples. Regards, Rich

After 70K miles, the front pair don't appear too bad while both the rear bushings have noticeable tears. I figure since I'm into this far, I will replace all the bushings, the front differential support bushing and get the sway bar tab reinforcements done. While stock bushings are always one option, I'd be interested in what bushing alternatives for a combination street/track car. I'm okay with a little more NVH, but don't want to risk damage by using something stiffer than the factory bushings on the street. Any recommendations? Thanks. Greg '95 M3
