WHen installing the new caliper guides I noticed my RSM on the passenger side is almost shot. The driver side isn't much better. I have the heavy duty from, I think Bimmerworld. The question is, which aluminum/rebuildable RSM? The Turner Motorsport part looks good. But so do some of the others. Perhaps you're having a terminology problem with the dealer/body shop. The door skin is only the outer sheet metal of the door - separate from the door frame. BMW doesn't supply door skins, although some manufacturers do. As others have pointed out the doors themselves are interchangeable. Neil 96 M3

That little tube that holds the bushing together has rusted itself to the shock on 4 different cars that I've owned (for some reason all of them had JTD mounts at one time), and the bushing collapses after a few thousand miles anyway. My favorites, the Ground Control ones and the tckline ones, nod to the GC ones for having longer studs so you can install a reinforcement plate or even a rear shock tower with them. TCK nees to make the studs longer in his. -Carlos. 98 M3 had GC ones now TCK 89 325i now has the GC ones from the E36

#8. Steering column lock replacement help - from ROWERS41@aol.com
Top
Date: Mon, 19 Jun 2006 09:18:36 EDT From: ROWERS41@aol.com Subject: Steering column lock replacement help After hearing the dire warnings of leaving a spinning steering lock cylinder go, I have acquired a replacement keyed cyclinder and attempted to follow the procedured in Bentley's to swap out the old for the new. However, I could not get the old cylinder to release using the stiff wire mentioned in Bentley's (please, no comments please on other tools). Other than using a dent puller, am I missing a critical step? Thanks, Steve Fredericksburg, Va
