You can replace a control arm (upper or lower, one only) in STU. Several of us are running aftermarket rear lower control arms in STU. You can legally run under STU rules in BSP with R compound tires as the only change. So as long as the rest of the car meets STU rules, you can add the R tires and run BSP. So no fender flares, intake mods, etc. This should work out fine for many people running local events in BSP. If you are using the STU rules set in BSP, the lower control arms cannot have metal bearings. Then can have poly bushings though, they don't need to be rubber. I'm using the BMP adjustable arms with a poly bushing. The adjustment is all on the outer end of the arm, so it's very easy to adjust. I don't even need to jack up the car. #5. FS: 245/40-17 g-Force Sports - from twisty M3

I have a set of four 245/40-17 BFG g-Force Sports mounted to my street wheels, and will probably be taking them off within the next two weeks or so. I'll be upfront and say that I don't really like them, but they're fine for getting around town. They're not all that fun on track and despite how they look, I don't find them particularly good in the rain, but I also have a track-oriented alignment. I put them on the wheels in December and they have PLENTY of tread left, so they look like they'll last a really long time. Reviews on TireRack are surprisingly good for them, so maybe it's just me being used to PS2s, S03s and other such street tires. http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=BFGoodrich&tireModel=g-Force+Sport They cost me $126 each from a local shop and I'm looking for $300 for all four. I'm in Ventura, CA, so I'd prefer someone in SoCal, but I will be heading up to Thunderhill in a few weeks, so delivery along the way or at the track is an option. Any interest? Shoot me an email off list at ironjdl@aol.com (I check that more often). Jonathan L.

There are a number of force fed kits on M3's with various stages of mods, and degrees of success, some being dealer warranted btw (dinan). You can't just make a blanket statement like that without backing it up, please for the benefit of all, share your wisdom. Done incorrectly, and built-to-price, any FI will be marginal and not be reliable on a factory NA car. However, there are some pretty reliable, and powerful kits with proper cooing, headgaskets, software, etc. As for the RMS stuff, I've heard that their hardware is good but the software is crap. Many people usually run stand-alone ECUs (i.e Tec3, AEM, etc.) or get software custom-burned or made by Dinan, AA, etc. Drive Safely, Raza hoping to do FI (correctly) at some point...

I ran the AA blower on my car for 30k miles with little to no issues. The guy I sold it to has put another 30-40k on it no problem. The RMS hardware is good, don't run their software. Some people run standalones like the TEC3, but not many, as they're expensive and unnessecary. AA or TT can burn a chip for you with the RMS system no problems. I wouldn't run the Dinan software, it's very expensive and extremely conservative, so it makes little power. There are people out there with daily driven 400rwhp supercharged M3's that are running fine. -------------- Original message -------------- From: "Raza Uddin" <raza.uddin@gmail.com> > Date: Thu, 13 Jul 2006 12:51:50 -0700 > From: "Raza Uddin" > Subject: Re: [E36M3] RMS Supercharger > > On 7/13/06, m.feldpusch@comcast.net wrote: > > > > Have fun with this one :) ... I personally installed it on my car myself. The car ran superb back then and used to race with it all the time(see link below). I had issues repeatedly though in getting the car to run correctly over the years. If you are expecting any support from Osh or anyone on his team, you'll have better luck opening your fridge and asking a carrot. All I could get out of him was that I had to purchase more things from him to get it to run right. The last thing I got was his software and even though its been running smoothly, it doesn't feel that its putting full power down. My unfortunate problem is I don't know anywhere I can take it to so it can get looked at and just given a full once-over. My local stealership dislikes me because I never took the car in for service, always did it myself. Plus they are morons and don't know how to work on a supercharged M3 even if it was Dinan.
