My a/c was not doing the job a couple of years back so I hooked up the guages and it was definitely running low on refrigerant. I put in enough to get it to standard operating pressure and now it is fine. 110 on the OBC today and I was plenty cool with the fan on 1. It loses a little steam when standing still in traffic but recovers once moving. Dave 95 M3

I have already done the X brace, so now I'm thinking about a front strut brace. Yes, I track my car and yes, I know we're talking about marginal returns here, but I intend to keep the car for a long, long time, so it matters to me. It seems as if the Motorsport strut braces, developed for the LTWs, are NLA. I have checked with multiple list sponsors and others and can't seem to find anyone that still has them. I know the JT Designs unit is a very similar design and as such it is my second choice, but I really want the BMW unit if I can find one. Anyone have an extra or a lead on a used one? I poked around Ebay and found a lot of junk, but no genuine items. Thanks all for your help here. Kurt H. 40k mile 1995

This includes a new pressure plate, throw out bearing, pilot bearing, etc. I would also go for front transmission seal and rear engine main seal at that mileage. I too have the same issue of having to floor the clutch pedal for enough disengagement to shift gears. It got remarkably better once the clutch stop was removed and the factory one reinstalled. But every so often it lets me know I forgot to floor it when changing gears. I only have 86k on my 98M3/4 so I am hoping to get more mileage out of it before tearing it down. Of course, YMMV. Good luck and let us know how it turns out. Alex NJ Chapter

Of course if you remove it like I did on mine then it does fit. I got mine from our own Rich Dorffer. It's a very nice piece. I'm going to be selling the UUC strut barbarian that it replaced which does clear the ASC throttle body. I'm trying to source the nuts as one got buggered up when I was removing it from my car before I post it. I'm really torn as the UUC one is really nice looking and it's easier to remove the center section to work on the engine (changing plugs, swapping the intake manifold, etc) than the motorsport one. -Carlos 98 M3 in the middle of the M50 intake swap :-/

Check that your aux fan is running. Also the a/c will run weakly while you're sitting in traffic. Keep the windows closed or you'll warm up quickly. I only smoke at high speeds and even then the warm air quickly floods the car even with the window only cracked. I have very dark tint which helps more than you can imagine. My compressor for the last couple years has been making a semi-random clicking. I think it's the clutch slipping. Hasn't gotten worse though so C'est La vie.
