I posted a message a few weeks ago to try to sell my 99 M3, and I had someone lined up to buy it, but they backed out at the last minute. So, the car is back up for sale. I lowered the price and would like to get $19,500 for it, or best offer. Here are some pictures of the car: http://i84.photobucket.com/albums/k34/jechambe/100_2498.jpg http://i84.photobucket.com/albums/k34/jechambe/100_2496.jpg http://i84.photobucket.com/albums/k34/jechambe/100_2495.jpg http://i84.photobucket.com/albums/k34/jechambe/100_2494.jpg http://i84.photobucket.com/albums/k34/jechambe/100_2493.jpg http://i84.photobucket.com/albums/k34/jechambe/100_2492.jpg http://i84.photobucket.com/albums/k34/jechambe/100_2491.jpg http://i84.photobucket.com/albums/k34/jechambe/100_2490.jpg http://i84.photobucket.com/albums/k34/jechambe/100_2484.jpg http://i84.photobucket.com/albums/k34/jechambe/100_2483.jpg http://i84.photobucket.com/albums/k34/jechambe/100_2482.jpg http://i84.photobucket.com/albums/k34/jechambe/100_2480.jpg http://i84.photobucket.com/albums/k34/jechambe/100_2485.jpg The car now has ~58,400 miles on it, has new Bilsteins and H&R Sport springs as of 4K miles ago The car has a CAI with heatsheild, the Eurosport M50 intake manifold kit, and UUC pulleys. For an extra $250, I will through in a brandnew JC Shark injector that has not been used yet. (or if someone is interested in buying it for $300, let me know) The oil has been changed every 5K miles, I only use the BMW 5W30 synthetic oil. The rear tires have about 5K miles on them, bought them at the end of last summer. The car is located 5 miles outside of Northampton, MA, has always been garaged, and has never been driven in the winter (~Nov to early April). The reason I am selling it is because I bought a house, on a dirt road, and I don't have a garage. Please feel free to email me if your interested. I would be willing to drive the car a little ways (~60miles) for someone to see it if interested. I also go to CT probably every week to visit family, so I could meet up with someone there. Thanks! ------------------------------------------- Jesse Chamberlain jesse.chamberlain@gmail.com

A lot of times on this list I only see replies and never receive that first message. BTW I may be a Road Atlanta as well so I may see some you there. Cheers, Carlos 98 M3

Date: Wed, 9 Aug 2006 10:01:45 -0400 From: "Ahmad Lutfeali" <m3_racer99@hotmail.com> Subject: RE: Summit Point Weekend Dave, You really made my weekend. I was very focused and felt competitive that weekend. We were .-05 second apart during one of the practices. Couple of pointers (am posting it on the forum so others can get some information from it as well). The rake on your car seemed off. I could be wrong but visually, it seemed a bit off. Here is what I did. Jacked the front of the car (you too have springs which are shorter and would have some space when the shocks is full decompressed. That said, cut the upper and lower spring pads and remove it. Jack up the rear of the car and unbolt the strut. Then remove the upper spring pad. Put it together and go drive the car so it settles. I measured the difference (in rake) from the front and rear jacking points and in my case it was almost close to being where I wanted it to be (.75 inches higher up front). I know Bob Butler (an ex IS racer) put some electric tape around the coils to fine tune the height. After changing the rake correction, car's behavior changed big time. Now I was not lifting the rear so much that trail braking was a PITA. Secondly with the rear lowered, I gained about 1/3 degree negative camber. Make sure to get an alignment since my toe had gone out as well. I would experiment with putting a 15mm stock 325i bar and see how the car feels. I didn't like the way the rear felt without a rear bar, but then, its me and bars were the only tuning tool I had to make it feel right. What does it take to convince you to come and try Road Atlanta in October (oh please oh please?) That put me on the back row for Sunday. On Sunday I did manage to pass the dozen or so cars between us, but I could never catch you. I finished 20 seconds behind you after an hour of racing. An hour just isn't enough when things are so closely matched. Come to think of it, in the absence of mistakes, three hours probably wouldn't have been enough. Fun time! I replaced the lifters @ 130k and thought that those being aluminum could bear replacement as well but wasn't sure about the need or a source. Any leads on where to buy and approx. cost? Date: Wed, 9 Aug 2006 16:46:32 -0400 From: "M540" <m540@bellsouth.net> Subject: RE: Sagging Headliner Thank you all for the responses, it sounds like a few people have taken the DIY route and a number have let the pros do it. I checked around locally and nobody has any fabric (DIY or otherwise) that is close enough to the original to allow me to get away without recovering all of the pillars, trim, etc. At the price of doing that I'm better off buying a BMW replacement. I'd like to give a DIY fix a try if I can find the fabric though. Do any of you happen to know an on-line source for 1/8" foam-backed headliner material that is reasonably close to the original stuff? Thank you, Kevin
