Typically referred to as the "air boot." http://realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do?model=BF93&mospid=47486&btnr=13_0381&hg=13&fg=15 Note that I chose a build date of 5/95 as it happened to the build date of the last customer car I worked on. Naturally you should confirm the correct boot with your build date. For cars with ASC+T price is $24, without, price is $16. I get a lot of HOT metal cooling noises from under my wife's 328 when I shut it down. Also am getting a periodic single "Cat below threshold efficiency" CE error, along with a "large evaporative leak". Swapped gas caps with my M and "large evaporative leak" error returned, occasionally. TIA KLB

You need to try harder, this isn't even one of the very confusing ETK idiosyncrasies... ;-) 13 54 1 738 757 - rubber boot - dealer list is $19.10 (I can supply it for $15). You need to look in the "Fuel Preparation System", diagram 13_0381 Regards, Rich

I was at Mid-Ohio two weeks ago and noticed hundreds of little cracks in my "intake bellow" so I thought I'd get one before I have to resort to duct tape at the track to keep running. It looked like a decent brush, but I still think it was a little expensive. A few weeks later I talked with my father, who goes to HF frequently. He showed me a PAIR of brushes he picked up from HF that were EXACTLY, I mean EXACTLY the same as the one I bought from Griot's. Well, one was the same tire brush that I had, the other was the same except with a foam pad instead of bristles, which I assume is for applying tire dressing to the tires after washing them. He got them BOTH for $4! I think it's more than coincidence. I'm sure many Griot's products are a great buy, but this experience made me doubt their quality and business ethics in charging such a huge markup on a product that costs much less to produce. Hopefully their customer service on products that fail is outstanding (?) ..02, Brian build 8/95 On 8/25/06, Mo Karamat <karamatm@optonline.net> wrote: > > Date: Fri, 25 Aug 2006 09:03:14 -0400 > From: Mo Karamat <karamatm@optonline.net> > Subject: Harbor Freight Racing Jack > > Carey, > > Hello. They are fine for the price, just remember if you plan to work under the car use jack stands. I wouldn't depend on a $59 or even a $79 jack for that kind of work. But in general, they are light weight and great to tote around to racing events! cheers, Bob Gill 97 ///M3 coupe (sponsored by Wheel Collision Center & JT-Designs) Philly Region SCCA 2005 Philly Region BSP Champion
