First, they it was the reverse light switch, although the fluid was coming from above it. Then some seal up on top the tranny. Then, I was driving it hard and it was coming out the overflow. But, there are some days when I drive to work at 45 mph tops and then home again and it still leaks. Now the thought is something or other clogged. It just drips a little over night and is not over full. The fluid is coming somewhere from the top it seems. It never leaked before having all the seals replaced when I also had the engine rebuilt. Now, it has leaked constantly since April. Any ideas? I am at the end of my patience. Thanks. Gary 1995 M3

I put snows on it in the winter and it was amazing - I went absolutely motoring by people stuck in the snow up and down hills, etc. What a great car. At that time the all-wheel drive wasn't dynamic, I believe it was always 60/40 rear/front drive bias. Later on (2004+?) I believe they moved to the "x-drive" where it is more of a dynamic distribution of power but I *never* needed more control than I had. Fun in the summer, safe in the winter - a great car! It's eccentric and rotates within two stamped risers to push the bottom of the wheel hub out or in for adjusting camber. I was playing around with those last year and forgot to dial it back out before running a season on my snow tires and the rears are exactly as you describe, from 1/4 tread on the outside to near cording slick on the inside. HOWEVER, if you haven't touched these since your last alignment it may be indicative of other looming issues as you described. I think only the rear control arm bushings would cause that symptom, but many of those wiser will correct me if I'm wrong.
