Even the old Z06 was a pretty exciting ride on track. The new one is reported to be quite tricky to drive at the limit, so considering its limits are pretty high it's going to be a really big one if it happens. Slighty OT As long as we're off track here and talking about the Bondurant School.... I did the "Ultimate Shifter Kart Course" there a couple weeks ago and I still get exhausted thinking about it. Talk about some fun! Things happen real fast in a shifter cart, I couldn't even keep track of what gear I was in at any given time. Those things are hands down the most involving, demanding, exhausting, and fun vehicles I've ever been in. Makes our track events in our prepared M3's look like a Sunday drive in an old Lincoln Town Car. I'd highly recommend it.... Kurt Resener Louisville, KY DISCLAIMER Important! WHAT A RUSH. 125cc shifters are pretty mind-blowing. Shifting every 1.0 - 1.5 seconds, pulling 2Gs in the corners and 3Gs under braking. I have never been so wiped out in my entire life as I was after 2 days of that. I want one. If I didn't live so far from the closest kart track (2+ hours), I'd have one already. > Those things are hands down the most involving, demanding, exhausting, > and fun vehicles I've ever been in. All you guys noting that the 335i doesn't have a proper limited slip differential only need to go to the one place you can count on to remedy this: http://www.koalamotorsport.com/ As far as the 335i is concerned, it is a marvelous car, both coupe and sedan. Go drive one and check it out for yourself, I wish I had the financial wherewithal to buy one (along with an MZ4 Coupe). Regards, Rich - will go to KMS when I decide to modify my differential.

Slighty OT While I have not driven or even ridden in the new Z06 yet, I owned a previous generation (04) for awhile. Tracked it a couple times. The 400hp version was tricky enough at the limit, and the limit is very very high. I think the 500hp version is insane as a street car and easily 95% of those who buy them (if not 99%) are simply not up to the talent level to drive one on the track anywhere near it's limit. And they should be plenty dangerous on the street too - I expect to see more than one story of things getting out of hand and bad crashes happening. The 400hp was doing 80-90mph on a simple freeway on-ramp jaunt thru 3rd gear, which only takes a couple seconds of full throttle. There was simply no way to really enjoy it on the street without risking jail at every step. The new one is just nuts. Honestly I had more fun wringing out my old E36 M3 or more recently my Evo IX on the street than the Z06. At least in those cars you can use WOT for a bit without seeing crazy illegal speeds flash before your eyes on the heads up display to remind you to back off or go to jail... And of course mine was red..... I still miss it sometimes. But not that much. And I have absolutely no desire for the C6 version..... If I were to spend $70K+ on a car I think 911 or Cayman S would be a better call. Z06 was pretty numb in the feedback dept. compared to a proper German sports car.... And for a street car - feedback (Steering, brakes, throttle, etc.) is a lot more important than what lap times a car can generate at LSIR....
