Sorta like when I was a kid I had the "hourly beep" turned on on my digital watch. Interesting how, without that beep turned on, I'd check the time +/- 2 seconds of the hour. Sorta sets it into your brain I guess. No real reason to have it on here, I suppose, but on the other hand it didn't inconvenience me in any way either. - reid > Is that what it's for? #5. Issues with adding an after-market Head Unit to an E36 ('98 M3/4)? - from Dave Heckendorf

I think I recall that there are issue(s) to be addressed as it relates to the BMW Diversity Antenna (and if you don't address it, you'll have worse that stock Radio Reception)? Also, anybody have make/model recommendations that might provide an AUX input (for an external media device, not necessarily an iPOD, via it's headphone output) while attempting to maintain a look that isn't "Lights of Vegas" cheesy (maybe even has a color that roughly matches the BMW Red/Orange)? Thx!, Dave

Interstate is telling me that I need to source a convertible battery through the dealer, but it appears to be the same size as the other models. I'd like to get a MTP-91 if it fits. TIA for your help.

Crisp handling - what kind of tires are on the car? are they running at the right pressures (34 psi +-) bad tires that are under inflated will feel terrible. rubbing suspension? sounds like the springs are bad. You should be able to get a set of original take off springs for $100. otherwise I'd recommend the H&R OE sports for about 220 from Turner. a bit stiffer than stock, they ride less than .5" lower than stock height. No issues with rubbing and great response. Only caveat is that if you live someplace with bad roads, i'd go stock to make the ride as soft as possible. All this talk about the 335 makes us hungry for power, yet we love our chassis. For those of us with young enough cars, how about just tossing in a Conforti Supercharger. My A student had one last school and it was certainly pulling hard on the straights. It was kind of strange giving him a ride at the end of the day in my stock car. I kept waiting for the rush on the straights when I put my foot down...Nada. Anybody on the list with huffenpuffen in their cars? The dyno charts sure are pretty... Are they livable? Maintainable? durable? Marc Plante E36 M3/4 75k Vienna, VA

I bought from an installer, so the components are not in a neat ADS box, but they're all new, never installed. I had a set in my last car, and they were a great upgrade. I just don't have stereo-installing time with a 13 month-old. $180/ obo Marc Plante 1997 E36 M3/4, 75k 2005 Child, (Lydia) Vienna, VA

Hey all, I'm in the market for a track car, and I have had some good conversation with someone who is selling their somewhat prepared 95 M3. Is there any lister that might be able to help me out? I'm hoping someone with some saavy could go look at this car in person and let me know if there is anything about it that would scare you away. I would be willing to compensate or reciprocate. You can contact me off line. Thanks a million -jeff 98 ///Sedan | 95 Track-prepped coupe (maybe?) ____________________________________________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
