The thought of her getting better, faster and riskier in her 05 ZCP M3 and having an on track incedent either of her own fault or someone else's is not a good one. Wadding up a $55,000+ car on track and having the insurance company deny the claim would be a VERY tough pill to swallow. Even more so, as I'm further up the curve from her, I'm probalby closer to running out of talent. The safety of a cage - there's a TC Kline/HMS motorsport bar in the car right now - a full 6-point cage will go in sometime in the next 9 months (my guess, maybe sooner) is key. Enjoy your new E118 household... haha. Thanks so much for the oil filter. Managed to get the oil done at about 9-10pm, and up at 5am the next morning. Drive to Seattle was uneventful, except the power's been out 3 days so I'm online at a Tully's. Fun times. But hey, any non work day is a good day. - reid On 12/17/06, Jeff Conner <jeff.conner@yahoo.com> wrote: > Date: Sun, 17 Dec 2006 09:07:54 -0800 (PST) > From: Jeff Conner <jeff.conner@yahoo.com> > Subject: The slippery slope continues... > > Actually, it's feeling more like a cliff. > > I just placed a depost on what will be the track car for myself and my wife. I would say it is still overpriced by $2-3K but it is worth kicking the tires at $16K. I laugh when I see fools who think they can get $20+K for ordinary '95 M3's that were produced in large numbers. I won't pay it. I'm amazed the old E30 M3 can still sell for $15+K but it was produced in way fewer numbers. P.S. This Autotrader ad says you can get a "free" Carfax report for this M3. But when I click on the "free" button, I get sent to another link and have to pay $24.99 for it. Is there some trick I am missing?
