You will not get a CEL while driving necessarily. Many of the codes are soft stored, as opposed to say an 02 default which indicates hard, engine on running. -----Original Message----- From: Mark Duckworth [mailto:mdlkml@atari-source.com] Sent: Friday, March 09, 2007 3:03 PM To: Goss, Patrick - PA Cc: E36M3 Subject: RE: [E36M3] Help with fault code interpetation, please I've filled up with the engine running numerous times without getting a CEL. Same all around, not staggered. If not bolt on, how much work is required? Fingers crossed that the only side effect is speedometer error... I run XP-8 on both the M3 and 325, both street and track with good results, not much noise, and long track and street life. I have had no problem with braking in Upstate NY so far because of the cold and it has been down to -10. Still seems better than stock. Not much rotor wear either. they have Panthers which the tout as a street pad and XP-10 and XP-12 with higher temp ratings, more dedicated to pure track with stronger warnings against running on street. So far no problems at all Carey Rex Tener wrote: > Date: Fri, 09 Mar 2007 11:31:02 -0800 > From: Rex Tener <rex_tener@yahoo.com> > Subject: Carbotech Brake Pads? > > A lot of my buddies running SCCA T2 love Carbotech brake pads. You have to take the intake manifold off and you'll see both of them bolted to the side of the block. The casing flakes away causes this. New ones at the dealer are around $100 each. Taking off the intake manifold isn't really difficult. Make sure to get new gaskets for the manifold (there are six).
