Nothing happened if the key was turned to the "Ignition" position. Drive Safely, Raza

#2. ignition coils - from Brian Ruiz

Date: Fri, 16 Mar 2007 16:12:03 -0700 From: "Brian Ruiz" <eurowerke@gmail.com> Subject: ignition coils Hey all, Need to replace my coils, as I did a test last night and about 4 of them were arcing when I watched them in the dark when I would pop the throttle. They seemed fine if I increased revs slowly. My question is this: I did some searching and found coils at various online retailers; the Bremi coils (I have Bosch in the car right now) seemed to be more expensive than the Bosch coils. Are the Bremi coils better quality overall? I would think the Bosch would be the better ones.... Thanks, Brian build 8/95

#3. Differential Removal: Write-up? - from Jonathan L.

Date: Fri, 16 Mar 2007 17:05:42 -0700 From: "Jonathan L." <twistym3@hotmail.com> Subject: Differential Removal: Write-up? Would anyone happen to have a write-up on removing/replacing an E36M3 differential? I've found something on PelicanParts, but it (once again) is just for E30s, so I'm not sure if the torque specs, etc. are correct. Plus, I need to know the proper size of sockets or wrenches I'll need, plus the torx (or e-torx?) bit size. Any help is greatly appreciated, Jonathan L. _________________________________________________________________ It’s tax season, make sure to follow these few simple tips http://articles.moneycentral.msn.com/Taxes/PreparationTips/PreparationTips.aspx?icid=HMMartagline

#5. Trying to find the Factory Alarm Connector - from Mdgreer

Date: Fri, 16 Mar 2007 21:30:48 -0400 (EDT) From: "Mdgreer" <mark.greer@excite.com> Subject: Trying to find the Factory Alarm Connector My M3 is supposed to be pre-wired for the Security System; badge in the trunk says so. Anyway, I cannot find it and I don't have the factory alarm installation instructions. Where might I find a scanned copy of this instruction, or someone who can describe the wire/connector colors for the alarm connector? It's an 97 sedan. _______________________________________________ Join Excite! - http://www.excite.com The most personalized portal on the Web!

Date: Fri, 16 Mar 2007 21:31:50 -0400 (EDT) From: "Mdgreer" <mark.greer@excite.com> Subject: Auto Manual swap question On another topic, a friend in the Club has completed an auto-to-manual swap on his e36. Now his Traction Control and ABS won't work. He thinks it may be because he removed the transmission control module. Any help appreciated. Date: Fri, 16 Mar 2007 22:08:23 -0400 (EDT) From: "Mdgreer" <mark.greer@excite.com> Subject: Factory Alarm question [update] Okay. It appears that BMW doesn't completely pre-wire the alarm. There is a short adapter cable required [that I don't have]. Thanks for the help and --unless someone has an extra alarm cable -- I'm off in search of this part. #9. Items FS - from Shelhart2@aol.com

Date: Sun, 18 Mar 2007 18:48:06 EDT From: Shelhart2@aol.com Subject: Items FS I have some parts from my 1998 and 1995 M3's in the garage. I'm not certain how to price these exactly so let me now if I'm off base. Parts are in Orlando, Fl 34747. Shipping is not included. 1. 4 staggared 5 double spoke polished rims with near new Goodyear Eagle F1's (treadwear 280 traction AA temperature A). Front 225 45 17 on 17x7.5's and rear 245 40 17 on 17 x 8.5 rims. Rims are in excellent condition. $1,500+ shipping. Email for pics. 2. OEM front and rear sway bars off 1995 M3. Good condition. $100 - set 2. OEM plastic front headlights - good condition off 1995 M3 - $75 - set 3. Dinan carbon fiber cold air intake + filter off 1998 M3. It won't go on a 1995 but I think should work on 1996 - 1999 E36 M3. $75 4. Rear OEM lights and OEM yellow front side markers. Good condition. $100 - set 5. OEM E36 rear wing with third integrated brake light. Dakar yellow. $150. 6. Stock fuel injectors off my 1995. I am running 21.5lb injectors now. I think they have about 60k miles on them. Not sure what a fair price is... 7. 1995 Bosch DME (ECU) - I bought this from a fellow lister when I thought mine was bad. Turns out is was the Active Autowerke chip that needed a software upgrade. I have the stock ECU + stock chip. $350 or I'll just keep it as a spare. I've had it in the car and it works fine. 8. Stock airbox without MAF off 1995 M3 - $35 WTB or will trade for above- I'm looking for the following parts to finish my 1995 M3: 1. Rear strut tower bar (Mason, etc.). I know what some of you will say but I want it anyway. 2. Possible coil over setup or , at very least, a set of "lightly used" Bilsteins or Koni SA's. I have a set of Bilsteins on the car now with HR springs and they're a bit tired. 3. MA Shaw rear wing - prefer Hellrot Red if already painted. 4. Used BBK - prefer Stop Tech. I have a new set of Brembo cross drilled rotors ready to install. 5. Reasonably comfortable balck front racing drivers seat - use for double duty. Email if interested to _shelhart2@aol.com_ (mailto:shelhart2@aol.com) . Let me know if I'm off base anywhere. Also would like guidance on injectors. Thanks. #10. Trunk Lid Wiring - from Chris Teague

Date: Sun, 18 Mar 2007 17:59:41 -0700 From: "Chris Teague" <cteague@cox.net> Subject: Trunk Lid Wiring I need to replace the trunk lid on a 95 M3. Does the wiring harness disconnect somewhere in the trunk, or do I have to remove the wires from the old trunk? Bentley was no help with this. Thanks, Chris
