In my M3/4, all 4 wheels/tires fit in the back seat (no fold down seats either.) Everything else goes in the trunk - big plastic container with tools, extra oil, etc., aluminum jack, cordless impact gun, 5 gallon air tank, and helmet. It is pretty amazing how much you can really fit inside the car. The most I've ever stuffed was 2 set of wheels and tires (but that required the use of the spare well). I've always owned sedans, so I'm not sure how easy this would be in a Coupe. Drive Safely, Raza

#4. FS: 4 MM11-3 17" x 8" wheels with S-03 Tires, $600 - from Steve Lilley

These will fit on the E46 3 Series (except the M3), and E36 3 Series (including the M3), most Z3 cars, and the base Z4 2.5i. I have a 2004 330i, and these were my summer wheels/tires for two seasons. A picture of the wheels can be seen here: http://home.earthlink.net/~m3steve/sitebuildercontent/sitebuilderfiles/winter_04.jpg http://home.earthlink.net/~m3steve/sitebuildercontent/sitebuilderfiles/winter_05.jpg The wheels and tires have 12,830 miles on them over two summers. The wheels are clean except for some brake dust spotting -- nothing visible from a couple of feet away. They have no curb rash, and are all well balanced. Two of the wheels have small 1/4" marks on their lip from the tire mounting machine, but nothing extreme. Tread depth across 4 points of each tire is a low of 5/32, a high of 6.5/32, and an average of 6/32. When new, these tires are 10/32, so they still have about half their life left -- easily another 12-15K miles assuming they are rotated once. When I bought them from Tire Rack in 2004, they were just over $1,600. I'm selling them for $600 firm. I'll offer free delivery in Delaware Valley area -- anywhere within 60 miles of Reading PA, ZIP Code 19610. If you are interested, let me know and I'll send you digital pictures of all the wheels and tires. Regards, Steve Lilley m3steve@earthlink.net 610-698-4714

I just got a used set from an autocross friend, for me to autox on. They're about half worn, not sure how many miles. They are noisy, but nowhere near as noisy as Falken Azenis 215. If this is for street use, I'd say just get the PS2, the Neova is probably a bit hard-core for street-only use. OTOH, they do stick like glue.... I am intrigued by the glowing review in Roundel last year. I am interested in feedback, particularly among those who have driven them for more than 10,000 or even 15,000 miles. My question for those who have driven them for those mileage relates to noise over time. I had a set of Yoko ES100s that became unbearably noisy around 12,000 miles. My likely alternative is the PS2s, which I have had good luck with on my daily driver 330i. Any direct comparison feedback would be excellent. Thanks in advance. Kurt

Seems the bolts want to continue turning without clicking the torque wrench. I haven't forced them, not sure if they're stripped. Where can I come up with a tap? What is the size (description) of the tap I'd seek? Thanks, -Rick

If you suspect more than a few then replace all the lug bolts. Inspect the hubs closely if they are indeed stripped then you should consider replacing them. Carlos 98 M3

Tires are 205/60 on 15" wheels Turner recommended a 1/2 inch spacer for the front. Summer tires are 235-40 on 17" wheels and I haven't tried them yet. Will I still need the spacers for the summer wheels and tires? Anybody else have this problem? I never expected this since the coil overs are smaller in diameter than the original struts. thanks Carey -- Carey Probst '99M3 daily driver '86 325 track toy, cammed, chipped, swayed A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.

Your 15's rubbing could be because the offset, are you running stock spec offset wheels? I expected to gain some room with the pss9 kit on my M3 but still unfortunately had to run the 5mm spacers with my fat rim/tires (17x9 w/255/40/17)tire choice frt rr. I would think with properly offset 17 and your tire size, you'd probably be alright, or you use one of the many online tire/rim calculators to compare your 15's to the 17... Maybe a camber kit would or wouldn't help? A lot of us are running spacers thou so don't feel bad.
