The 3-dial variety? Not sure how the analog dials would interface w/our digital system, but it feels like more and more of us will be looking for a simple solution to these climate control failures. I'd be happy to move to a simple 3-dial system... Scott.

The fix is offered from a couple of companies on the web for $50 if one is "soldering iron challenged". If you are not all thumbs, the fix takes about 30 minutes. Better than going analog. In a couple not-too-serious attempts to pop out the MFD, it didn't wanna go. The top edge will pop out easily enough, but whether I keep pushing at that point, or push it back in and alter the angle of pressure to try to make the bottom edge come loose, all that happens is the surrounding console trim starts bulging out in a scary manner--it seems like that bottom edge is securely held by something. What's the trick? >> >>
