Five seconds of editing would alleviate this. Regards, Rich

I read quite a bit about him on the forums and formed the same opinion myself. But opinions can be based on fallacy. He is pricey BUT he also delivers (you get what you pay for). He has worked with a few road racing Evos out there as well. The reason why people don't go to him anymore is because they are doing their own flashes. There is some Tactrix cable out there which you can get and some website (I googled up Open ECU and it puts me to Evo and Sti forums but not sure of the exact site even though I have visited it before) has software that can be downloaded based on your mods. A lot of folks do their own flashes. Bernardo Payet (who owns an Evo IX) was planning on doing his own flash. I believe the Evos didn't come with a locked ECU. Its hard to copyright flashes I guess. So long and short, no Vishnu does not have a bad reputation with the 'right' folks. , Ahmad -------------------- 4 -------------------- Date: Fri, 8 Jun 2007 13:07:55 -0700 From: Mpower <mpower@obikwan.com> Subject: Re: [E36M3] RE: OT: STi - Now on topic FWIW, Vishnu Tuning used to tune WRX/STi's but now has a bad rep within that community. So, just an FYI if you're going to let him mess around w/ your 335i.

It's a little heavier than the E36 and it needs a limited slip, but very impressive. The weight is not readily apparent on the street, even under "spirited" driving. All the room of an earlier 5-series with the handling of the E46. As a daily driver, I was wondering why they didn't make a 335ix, but apparently now they have - with sport suspension, I wonder?. Slap one of those little slave ECU shadow units in there and you have one very livable road beast! Dave Hogg

That's a little like kissing your sister. In my Rookie race 5 years ago there were five of us. Several of us on this very list will help you with the build. Let me also just say that if you think open tracking or drivers schools are fun, they ain't NOTHIN' compared to a club race. It's just unreal how much fun it is. Definitely should be illegal and might be some day, so get yours now! - Mark, very bummed he crunched his car last week and so is not racing at Buttonwillow this weekend ----- mark@pdc-racing.net Check out my JustRacing homepage at: http://www.justracing.com/homepage/mdadgar

Quite a surprising amount of grip on the wet surface, although we were also running an aggressive rain line - to the occasional consternation of the corner workers! Note that ARCA's should be considered as pre-settable rather than adjustable, meaning that it's not all that practical to play around with them once you've established a working setup. There seems to be a lot of buzz about the > Volshag (sp?)/Motorforce plates being very good. The Vorshlags are just the t!ts. I installed some on a friend's car a while back, and more recently on my own M3. See <http://tinyurl.com/3xvkxs>. While all the adjustable camber plates I've seen work in an essentially similar way, the things that set the Vorshlags apart are the heavier duty ball joint and thrust system, but especially their unique modular construction. The latter means that if you have, say, stock pattern struts and later go to coilovers, all you have to replace is the relatively inexpensive upper spring perch/bearing assembly. There's a very good explanation with pix on this page: <http://www.vorshlag.com/tech_strut_spring_guide.php> (click on any of the thumbnails for an enlarged view). I hadn't thought about this before getting them, but there was also a slight but useful gain in usable suspension compression travel due to the shorter stack-up height of the Vorshlag plates compared to my swapped 96+ stock bearing hat setup, see info here: <http://www.vorshlag.com/stackup.php>. This is meaningful on track cars where the lowering process uses up suspension travel. Neil Fort Wayne, IN 96 M3 - Bastard child 03 525iT - Sterling Grey Metallic 05 Mini - Cooper S with LSD
