It was oriented toward the track and development of BMW cars in general. But there was a lot of talk about M cars and some nice, but brief clips of E36/46 M3s going around. Anyway, it was interesting, so I thought I'd pass it on. I'm not sure if SPEED will replay, but they tend to repeat stuff quite a bit... Dave "friggin' cat heat shield is rattling AGAIN!" Not only - "urethane bushings don't need to be preloaded" - they cannot be preloaded, to the best of my knowledge. Additionally, as result they are no longer part of the rear spring rate so you end up with a (slightly) softer rear spring. Date: Mon, 11 Jun 2007 13:22:21 -0700 From: "David Flanary" <Dflanary@markhamvineyards.com> Subject: F/S One owner 99 All: I am moving on to a "family" style car and must sell my "99. Note that this is a fairly rare color combo - Estoril blue with Mulberry leather. Mulberry is a dark grey that looks fantastic with the blue. When ordered this way (and I did special-order this car new), the dash and headliner are black, not that grey color. IMO this is the best combo for the E36. Details are: 1999 M3 Estorilblau/Mulberry leather, 111K miles, Original non-smoking owner, 5sp, H/K stereo w/ 6 CD, sunroof, cruise, computer always garaged, Sensibly upgraded with Bilstein sports/H&R springs, UUC shifter. Scrupulously maintained and detailed, Radiator preemptively replaced at 80K (and ALL hoses, housing and t-stat) E46 rear shock mounts/ w Z-3 plates Mobil 1, Car cover and extras included. Truly excellent condition. $15,900 Dave (707) 815-6797. dwflanary@yahoo.com I will have some current pictures in a couple of days. Please feel free to forward to someone who will give it a good home.. Thanks, Dave

Hi David, I have the Mulberry too, but I ordered the car in TechnoViolet. I too like the contrast between the dash, headliner, seats and carpet. IMO this is the best combo for the e36 ;-)) Good luck selling the car, sounds like a nice one! I once again had total, complete, and thorough dominance of I-stock at Buttonwillow this weekend (since I was the only IS racer there). I had horrible times so there's an easy win out there for someone. Are you in an advanced DE run group? Are you searching for flavor? Wanna' take it up a notch? That's why the I-Stock class exists in BMW CCA Club Racing. For E36 M3 folks just like you! It's great fun with great people, and it can be as challenging as you'd like it to be. Why am I telling you this? I'm lonely. This week at Lime Rock, I was the ONLY IS car there. That's a little like kissing your sister. In my Rookie race 5 years ago there were five of us. Several of us on this very list will help you with the build. Ahmad even posted a full menu for a very competitive IS class track car. Help combat Track Loneliness. It is a malady that can be cured. But only YOU hold the key to the cure. Won't you help? Get a custom cage done by the best builder in your area, simple. ;-) I inspect cages for the club and I'm still most impressed by the ones done by Mark McMahan (in Akron) and Fall Line Motorsports (in Chicago). I'm probably going to design mine on CAD so I know the weight, CG and a lot of those properties before handing it off to McMahan to build it. I did a quick one for a Spec E30 car which McMahan built and it got a lot of compliments at its first race at Grattan this last weekend. To me it was easily the best cage in the paddock but I am biased. ;-) Go to a race and see what you like and talk to the racers to see who made their cage. Carlos 98 M3
