Date: Wed, 18 Jul 2007 13:38:21 -0700 From: "David Flanary" <Dflanary@markhamvineyards.com> Subject: Parts F/S Hello All: I recently sold my ///M. I know I going to miss it, but I needed something with a bunch more room and something I could load with bikes, gear, etc. And having 2 vehicles is just too much to take care of - the more anal-retentive of you out there will understand this. I have been with this forum for 8 plus years. It truly has been a trove of knowledge and I have recommended it to many BMW fans. Many thanks to Duane C., JAP, Steve L, Chester, Wayne, Jim B, Jonathan, and Rich for all your help and insight. I have a few things I need to sell to clean out the garage: 1. 1 NEW set lower front control arms (OE) with bushings (OE) $275 2. Ultimate garage jack plate (you know this is the nice one!) $40 3. 1 set stock headlight assemblies (very good used) $75 4. 1 set stock lenses - front blinkers, side markers, rears, first coupe, in excellent $125 Condition. 5. Stock suspension (springs, shocks, struts) 38K miles on them $100 I prefer local pickup (Santa Rosa, CA), but can ship if necessary. E-mail me privately if you are interested. Cheers! Dave

Also has a huge access port for something (can't imagine what it's like 40mm in diameter) and also a port to put in a BMW p/n oil temp sender. I think it weighs a tad bit more than stock, but I think most of the weight is the windage tray and dual pump pickup apparatus. BTW - the pan is spoken for, but if the deal falls through I'll repost it here. I already had the engine warm, I started the engine and SLOWLY, VERY SLOWLY removed the over fill cap, slowly bleeding out the pressure. I had some coolant bubble out then the bottle was sucked DRY once the air pocket went thru. I had to add about a gallon of mixed BMWcoolant and distilled water. Now I have heat and no more overheating in traffic. Date: Thu, 19 Jul 2007 10:40:17 -0700 (PDT) From: mpower@obikwan.com Subject: VANOS replacement Okay folks, I'm going to replace my VANOS unit because I did not buy my M3 to sound like a "can full of marbles" sound. It finally has driven me insane enough to fix the issue. So since I'm in there, what else do I need to replace? I figure since the valve cover is coming off I'd do the valve cover gaskets. What else since I'm in there? Spark plugs (if so, which ones for a S50 motor)? Anyone in the bay area have the tools that I can borrow? =P Thanks -kelvin
