I guess I'll take one for the team! ;) Please do ;-) I read over the info they have on the drvanos.com website and it sounds like a pretty decent deal. The price is reasonable and it sounds like they have nailed down the noise issue. Dave T.

Is there a different size or tool type I'm supposed to use, or do I just push harder? LOL! Seriously, was there a change between the years? LOL! Seriously, was there a change between the years? It may be a different tool for the C33 vs. CD43(?). IIRC, when I did the similar swap, I used a small regular hex for the C33 (stock unit), but used the included hex tool for the CD43. But, going out and looking at the two tools (you made me walk out to the garage :-)), they appear exactly the same: 2.5mm hex. So, my advice, push harder :-) And, welcome to the M3/4 Club :-) Jim Bassett

I think you can get one from various sources, but I just took an old hex wrench, placed it in a vise and carefully filed it into the required tool. -----Original Message----- From: Jonathan L. #6. Trading Time: Car Parts - from Jonathan L.

Date: Thu, 19 Jul 2007 22:15:30 -0700 From: "Jonathan L." <twistym3@hotmail.com> Subject: Trading Time: Car Parts So, I've picked up an M3/4 with a couple of cosmetic things I'd like to change. Anyone up for some creative trading? ;-) The car is Titanium silver with painted moldings (one has a scratch, but overall they're in good shape), front lip and rear diffuser. That's not my thing, so anyone want to trade the black moldings (front, rear and both sides), front lip and rear diffuser for this silver stuff? The car also has factory DSII wheels. They're in good shape (67k miles), and look nice, but I like easy-to-clean wheels since I'm lazy. ;) A buddy of mine has the same wheels, but he wants to buy my rear wheels so he can get a set of 8.5" on all four corners. Here's where the fun starts... Who (in SoCal preferably) has a really nice set of FOUR 8.5" Contours (other nice 17" wheels considered) that they'd like to trade for up to FIVE or SIX 7.5" DSIIs (all in good shape)? Let the good times roll, Jonathan L. _________________________________________________________________ http://imagine-windowslive.com/hotmail/?locale=en-us&ocid=TXT_TAGHM_migration_HM_mini_pcmag_0507

Just find one that wedges in there. Maybe not the most elegant approach, but who has a stupid 5-sided wrench? No damage to the fastener, either. -Paul -----Original Message----- From: Jonathan L. Previously, I could hear the rattle if I were driving close to curbs due to the sound bouncing off and coming back in to the cabin (yes, it was pretty loud). I've put 4k miles on the unit including two track days here in Texas without any problems. Chris is a very helpful and friendly guy to boot. Dat

It *appears* to me that they aren't set in the same place as the C33 in their previously. I've pushed and shoved the thing while turning it with the 2.5mm hex with no joy. Of course, I am a mechanical idiot...
