He would laugh with absolute unfettered glee every time I stomped on it, even more so after I added the CAI and the car would really sing out loud. Every time it snowed he wanted to go drifting in the movie theater parking lot. He loved "Daddy Bimmer". But now he's four, and the M3 has been relegated to third place on his list of favorite cars. Second is the Joest Audi R8, and first is the 911 GT3. While I can't criticize the little bugger's taste, I still do feel a little slighted. They grow up too fast.... ;) Vik 97 M3/4 > -----Original Message----- > From: Goss, Patrick - PA [mailto:Patrick.Goss@GMACM.COM] > Sent: Monday, October 15, 2007 12:59 PM > > Never since our daughter has been born have I heard her > laugh so deeply, giggle so out of control, than when > fastened securely in her car seat with this car in turns > or accelerating hard. #4. "while you're in there" items while the intake manifold is off - from Adam Lazur

Date: Mon, 15 Oct 2007 13:49:13 -0700 From: Adam Lazur <adam@lazur.org> Subject: "while you're in there" items while the intake manifold is off I'm finally giving in to the error codes and I'm going to replace the knock sensors on my '95 M3. Everything I've read says that taking the intake off is a moderate PITA, so I'd like to do other stuff that's likely to bite me while I'm in there. My car is an 08/94 production M3 with 105k miles on it. I've got the non-threaded starter ... so I may just replace it now. I'll probably re-clean the ICV. I'm also planning on doing the coolant hoses hiding back there. Anything I've missed that I should be getting done? -- Adam Lazur

I just replaced the water pump and thermostat last month, so draining all the coolant out to change those hoses would be a bear, but I will probably do it anyway. I'm also interesting in knowing what else to change "down there" ;) Brian On 10/15/07, Adam Lazur <adam@lazur.org> wrote: > > Date: Mon, 15 Oct 2007 13:49:13 -0700 > From: Adam Lazur <adam@lazur.org> > Subject: "while you're in there" items while the intake manifold is off > > I'm finally giving in to the error codes and I'm going to replace the > knock sensors on my '95 M3. I'm also interesting in knowing what else to change "down > there" ;) I'd definitely add a new reservoir and coolant level sensor if that wasn't a part of your cooling system overhaul. I did everything but the reservoir and have been unceasingly annoyed by the "Low Coolant" OBC fault (even though the car consumes no coolant). I'm waiting on a free weekend so I can drain my radiator and swap in my new sensor and reservoir (with new cap). Drive Safely, Raza
