I needed tires in a bad way and only had about $600 to spend so I decided to try these out. They were $580 shipped from Tire Rack. They guys that mounted them said they needed to put them out in the sun for a bit to mount them easier, they also said they balanced beautifully, which is always nice. Anyone run these yet? I just put them on the car so I have no feedback yet, but they sure look the business ;-) Dave ************************************************* Please help support the E36M3 list by visiting our sponsors: Bimmerworld http://www.bimmerworld.com Turner Motorsport http://www.turnermotorsport.com Eurosport High Performance http://www.eurosporthighperformance.com Rogue Engineering http://www.rogueengineering.com Treehouse Racing http://www.treehouseracing.com Elephant Motorsports Inc. http://www..elephantmotorsports.com DIGEST INFORMATION: http://www.bmw-m.net/resources/digest_info.htm *************************************************

Not to be an ass, but appearance alone is not what you want to base product selection on (I know I wouldnt dream of it). Date: Wed, 31 Oct 2007 19:41:02 -0400 From: "Richard Sperry" <richardsperry@comcast.net> Subject: Steering wheel, and exhaust Steering wheel: I know of a guy that will remove the leather, and replace it with Alcantara complete with the TRI color motorsport stitching. I'm about to send him one I got on Fleebay. $50... nicce. The squeek is from the steering shaft like everyone has said, lube it. Exhaust: Replace and not loud, SuperSprint. A bit cheaper is the AA gen3. Both very nice.

I reinstalled it myself. It has held up very well. I have no idea what they'd charge to remove and re install. Likely be in the $400 to $450 range. The debris caught the front sub-frame, oil pan, and cross brace. There are likely to be a few upgrades that occur. Oil pan baffle and X brace. Thanks Neil for reminding me about the oil pump bolt. I probably wont change the motor mounts as they are only 2 years and 20k miles old same for the trans. mounts. It is also an advantageous time to change the trans fluid and diff. fluid. Karl

Patrick and Paul take note :) I am considering the $75 harbor freight engine support as well as a cherry picker, so I might just go for the cherry picker. I am seriously considering a hydraulic lift. It's only a couple thousand and would give me the confidence to attend to nearly any job. I saw my jack ever so slowly leaking down today and realized that it's safe life has long past. It's put forth some good years considering it's a $25 pepboys special. Thanks, Mark
