The solutions are to either keep the fuel filled above the level you are seeing starvation at or to install a dual pickup fuel pump setup. I don't remember who sells them but this has been discussed many times before so a search of the archives should get you everything you need to know. Regards - Jamie

No photos yet, as I haven't removed it. The car also have manual vaders, but the driver's side back appears to be twisted. Has anyone seen anything like this before? I am wondering if it can be fixed, as I was going to keep these for my car if it had a street life in the future. http://928racing.net/m3/interior_seat_vader_driver_issues.jpg Other parts, as I pull them at: http://928racing.net/m3/ Regards, Stan Shaw                               Stan.Shaw@Excell.Net Phone: (413) 599-0399             Fax:   (413) 599-0421 Excell.Net Owner/Operator       http://www.Excell.Net/ 928 Owners Club President      http://www.928OC.org/ 928Racing.net Team Member   http://www.928Racing.net/   "Liberty once lost is lost forever." - John Adams

If anyone is interested, I would be happy to send this stuff to them for the cost of shipping. I will include the vacuum caps I used to plug the ends of the brake hoses while the calipers were off the car. (They're still on the car, so I couldn't get them in the picture.) All I ask is that when you are done, you post to the list and see if anyone wants it next. Doing a blast/scrub, paint & rebuild of your calipers might be a nice winter project for a fellow list member. I have new bleed screws and bracket bolts ordered. As soon as they come in, everything goes back together! - Chris On Nov 12, 2007 1:30 PM, Chris Papademetrious <chrispitude@gmail.com> wrote: > Hi all, > > I sandblasted the calipers and brackets and popped the pistons out. > Here are some pictures: > > http://www.chrispitude.net/index.php?album=cars%2FM3%2Fbrakes&dispsize=800&s tart=0 > > I just ordered a set of 4 stainless caliper pistons from Bimmerworld. > > - Chris ************************************************* Please help support the E36M3 list by visiting our sponsors: Bimmerworld http://www.bimmerworld.com Turner Motorsport http://www.turnermotorsport.com Eurosport High Performance http://www.eurosporthighperformance.com Rogue Engineering http://www.rogueengineering.com Treehouse Racing http://www.treehouseracing.com Elephant Motorsports Inc. http://www.elephantmotorsports.com DIGEST INFORMATION: http://www.bmw-m.net/resources/digest_info.htm *************************************************

They refused to send me another new strut, even though I offered to pay a core charge... #9. Kosei K'1 Wheels - People still like them? - from Matt Bader
Top
Date: Sun, 9 Dec 2007 12:22:47 -0500 From: "Matt Bader" <mbader@exammaster.com> Subject: Kosei K'1 Wheels - People still like them? I am looking for a lightweight wheel for a dual purpose car. I know you can spend a lot on aftermarket lightweight wheels, which I don't want to do. But, it seems like the Kosei K1's are a good bargain. Is there some tradeoff to using a wheel like this on a car that is also driven on the street? They are lightweight and inexpensive. Track use would be limited to HPDE for now. I searched the archives, and it seems like folks like them for being lightweight, cheap and easy to clean. I was thinking of going from a staggered set-up to 245's at all four corners. With my basic bilstein/h&R spring set-up, it doesn't look like fitment would be an issue for putting 8.5" wheels up front. Tia, Matt Bader 98 M3/4 Delaware

#10. Tap Size NEED HELP - from Robert Exconde

Date: Sun, 9 Dec 2007 11:27:33 -0600 From: "Robert Exconde" <99e36m3@exconde.com> Subject: Tap Size NEED HELP I'm hoping someone is reading this today ... I was changing my tires and I think one of the bolts got stripped and before I shove it in there I want to clean it out because the initial threads are messed up. Does anyone know the size of the tap that I would use? Do I just ask for a 17mm tap? I don’t know the thread type though. I've looked on several pages and there seems to be certain tap sizes (fractionally larger?) for the bolts? No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Free Edition.
