CORRECTION: Dmitri, you're right and I was wrong. My RWB R&R notes show that we used a 30mm socket, but that was on a friend's 325i. Checking RealOEM I now see that the 325i uses a 24mm thread on the half-shaft end, but that the M3 has a 27mm thread. So the M3's nut must take some larger socket size. Since mine's currently in winter storage I can't check it to see. Sorry for the mis-info! Neil Fort Wayne, IN 96 M3 - Bastard child 03 525iT - Sterling Grey Metallic 05 Mini - Cooper S with LSD

It's the way corporations work. What I see that is strange is the lack of the USA to build new drilling sites and increase the amount of oil that we produce. So as to not rely on OPEC and the instability of Middle Eastern region for oil. Obligatory E36 M3 content: Since my oil pan debacle is now over. The engine runs quiter than ever before. :) I do wish I had gone to an aftermarket undertray vs replacing all the stock plastic bits. Karl 95 M3
