First as an S50 conversion, then LS1. Unfortunately it 'slipped' on some oil and tumbled about three times at over a 100 mph. That would be a fun ride. There is Youtube of that somewhere... Personally I think that the development of this kit is the best thing to ever happen for E36s. I've always considered an E36 the ultimate toy, plentiful, cheap enough to be disposable, nice enough to take on a date. Finally you can make reasonable horsepower (500ish) reliably. No turbos, superchargers or grenading headgaskets just a stock engine with a good cam and some decent heads. Heck, the LS motors that are run the DPs are detuned to make less power. Later, db

I have the one that was made for the dealer network BMW NA which matches the interior illumination and reads BMW on the screen when you turn it on. These are no longer made as AFAIK, as are the non bmw-specific models such as you purchased. I'd love to know what you paid for it, as I've often considered get another one for another vehicle in the fleet :) Anyway, you guessed it, you will need the harness, call Becker North America for it, I paid $55.20, talk to Tony 201-327-3434, ext 1224. You might mention suzy's list, as well as Jim Nabli as there was a special deal for list member on the remaining units almost 3 years ago. Did you get the maps on CD? There may very well be an update, I need to get the latest also. The GPS antenna goes inside the dash behind the instrument cluster, and after my trying alternate places, I wouldn't recommend anywhere else! Should you talk to them before I do next, be sure to get the harness for the external sub output, I don't think I got that but later wished I had. I am not certain if the 4773 and 4771 models use the same harness. In either case, please let me know what you find out about the sub connection. If after you install you have a low whine which matches the ignition timing, ping me offline and I'll send you the quick fix for that also.
