I believe exactly what is stated. In stock form when I shifted from first gear into second the tires would chirp and possibly bark if I pushed it too hard. I purchased my Conforti kit from a nice person on this list and now from first to second gear is a full tire smoking event. The sound of the intake is actually scary to some. I have driven other stock 1995 - M3's since then and they felt lame compared to mine. It even idles better now with the A/C on and my mileage has not changed except from my foot being down more often. The fun I have ! Thank you Mr. Conforti and crew for all of your efforts ! Fir example, It could all come at 2,500 rpms. The HP gain advertised can not be added to the max stock HP to come up with the max HP after the mod. So peak HP may only go up 15 HP while somewhere on the curve a gain of 32 HP was noted - you have to look at the dyno chart to see where the 32 HP was realized. It may or may not be a spot that is of as much benefit. Vince From: "Matt Bader" <mbader@exammaster.com> The stage 2 kit includes the cams does it not? TMS claims a gain of up to 32 hp for the stage I, which seems rather optimistic. --------------------------------- Be a better friend, newshound, and know-it-all with Yahoo! Mobile. Try it now.

The addition of the different chip and the injectors is supposed to provide a 38HP gain but the main reason I went with that config was California gas..the stage 2 config runs well on 91 octane. Dave

One of the times I had my car dyno'd another guy there getting his car checked had just installed the TMS stage 3/4 kit including cams on his '99. His max power with the turner kit was 227 whp, and it came in at about 6250 RPM. Max Torque was 234 at about 3750 RPM. This was on a fairly cold day in January of 07. My car at the time had Active's Stage 1 s/c kit. Both cars had very similar power and torque at 3750 RPM (we overlayed both dyno runs for comparison), but then torque on the Turner car trailed off rather significantly as the RPM's increased. The forced induction kept my torque high except for a bit of flat spot at around 6,000 RPM, all the way to about 6750 rpm. At the time I thought he didn't get much bang for the buck given the cost of the kit. I have the chart as pdf file in case anyone wants to see it. One amusing aspect of the kit is how it messes with the MPG readout on the dash and OBC. I'll drive the same road @ the same speed in the same gear as my sedan and instead of reading 25mpg, the track car will show 40+. I'm guessing that has to do with the chip telling the injectors to run at X% of capacity, and the car's brain thinking that it's running the 19# injectors vs the 24# -jeff ----- Original Message ---- From: Dave Thomas <dave@sasdatalink.com> On Saturday 02 February 2008 8:19:32 am Jeff Conner wrote: > I believe stage 2 has the 24# injectors, in addition the the Stage 1's > Intake/HFM/Chip That is correct, its also a different chip over the 'stage 1' setup.
